Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

pours a hazy opaque orange with a lacy well-sized white head. fragrant with fresh bing cherries. very drinkable, and one of my favorite change of pace beers.

Color was a golden color with a extremely small few fruit zests present. Smell was all cherry with a hint of vanilla. Taste is almost all cherry. It is strange, the flavor of cherries is so powerful but compliments the flavor very nicely. A faint taste is present (maybe honey?). It is for all intensive purposes an average beer with a pleasant cherry taste. I am giving this beer a better review than I think I should. Mainly because I think it will fill a good void of giving me the drink I need when I am not in the mood for a stronger beer. It is very drinkable for one or two bottles.

12 oz. I am not much for a fruit beer. However, this beer has synthesized some very distinct components. While its sweetness may override the hops, it makes for a fine cherry beer to sample.

12 oz bottle from a mix pack. Pours clear golden with a bg frothy head. Aroma of cherry and maybe some floral hops. Cherry flavor from the get go reminds me of the old Luden’s cherry cough drops. Dry finish with a touch of hop bitterness. Tastes better than Vicks Formula 44!

On tap at Ironwood Grill. Pours a golden amber color with a small fizzy white head. The aroma is kind of a medicinal cherry with a lot of sweetness. That pretty much sums up the flavor too. There is a little bit of the wheat characteristic that comes through, but the cherry is very strong and sort of like Tussin. Medium and very plain palate.

Bottle. Pourd with a thin head and an almost artifical cheery smell. Good wheat flavor and the cheery tastes good in it.

Pours with a thin head and a pungent cherry aroma. Has a crisp but slight malt flavor with a hint of cherry acidity and tang that seem weak in light of the strong scent. An acceptable but slightly disappointing variation of the style.
