Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Bottle: Not bad for a beer, but only one can be drunk in a sitting. A little too much cherry flavor and aroma.

The first one’s good, the second one makes you want to puke. Boston Brewing Company always seems to overdo it on their fruit beers...

12 oz bottle. Not a typical fruit beer. More wheat then fruit. Hint of cherry and some sweetness. Just ok.

The aroma is just striking. This beer is well balanced. A nice mild cherry flavor and appealing wheat finish.

This beer has a good mix of cherry and wheat flavor. It doesn’t smell enough like cherries nor have a good enough cherry wheat appearance for what I expected. It is however, delicious and one of my favorite Sam’s products.

12 oz bottle. Poured dark yellow with thick white head. Smelled like cherry ChapStick. Highly carbonated, very crisp, with a finish reminiscent of a macro-brewed pilsner. This beer reminds me of that joke about the fat chick and the moped, which explains the disparity in ratings.

Ever slightly sweet and tart cherry flavor, Pretty light on the malts, Nicely ballanced. Refreshing aroma. Very decent overall.

This was terribly unimpressive, with an emphasis on terribly. First of all I hate infused fruit flavors, it ends up tasting like an oversweet extract. This would turn someone away from fruit beers forever.
