Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Smells stronger than it tastes, but still doesn’t taste good. Not a good beer at all.

Pass on this one... I noticed that my wife and her friends like this one - perhaps its more for the ladies. Strong Cherry flavor, almost like a cherry coke. Smell is also very strong cherry.

I like this Sam Adams. A lot of people think its too fruity but I still enjoy the flavor. It has a good aroma and good appearance so it is still a good beer for me to drink.

Slightly reddish orange color with thin white head. It smells like canned fruit with tons of preservatives and/or artificial flavors. Or like those mixed fruit juices. Taste is just weird. Not sweet at all ... it’s got a weird sourness and some sort of bean flavor... like roasted soy bean or edamame. Not good.

Bottle. Pours hazy orange salmon, white head. Aroma is fruit punch and slight bitter walnut. Flavor is bitter hops, fruit punch, malt Not a good blend: the bitterness of the hops makes the fruit flavor seem even more chemical.

Smells like cherry cough syrup...tastes like it too, although not as strong as the smell would suggest. I did not really like this beer.

Artificial maraschino cherry soda smell. Nice rocky head, though, and semi-hazy orange color. Flavor is much better than the smell, much less harsh. The cherry can be tasted all over the tongue but is actually not overwhelming. Would be much nicer if it were less like maraschino cherry and more like sour cherry. People who like maraschino flavors won’t mind it as much. Wheat base is solid and relatively dry. Palate is alright and it’s refreshing but very strange brew.

Not my favorite kind of beer, but good for something a little out of the ordinary. Cherry and fruit flavors are popping out all over the place, which makes this beer more of dessert beer. I don’t think it would pair well with many foods. The palate lasted a little too long, what with the so-so flavor.
