Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

I did not care for this, mainly because of the cherry flavor....Did not suite my taste...I can tell that if I did like that flavor, this would have been a good beer.

Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This beer poured a very lightly hazed golden color with a quickly fading head of thin, off-white foam. Almost no lacing. The aroma of the beer was made up of overly sweet cherries with a hint of wheat malt sneaking in. The flavor consisted of a much milder cherry note that was followed by sweet malts, light honey, and also a light metallic note. The mouthfeel was light-bodied with a fair amount of tingly carbonation. Not a total loss, but it is what it is...a mediocre wheat beer with some artificial cherry juice.

I personally enjoyed it as far as a fruity macro brew goes. Cherry obviously dominates the aroma with a pinch of wheat. Flavor is less outgoing as the aroma but still tastes fine. It could have a little more to do but I’m not very disappointed. Appearance is a orange-amber.

Pours to a white head. Good cherry aroma. Flavour is a weak and sweet. Yeasty finish. Not a very flavourful.

The aroma is adequate, cherries are almost too over powering for me at least with hints of malt and wheat. It pours a orange amber color with a nice 1/2in. head that diminishes quickly. Cherries definitely dominate this brew all though some wheat and malt come through. Slightly acidic medium bodied brew with a hint of sweetness. Overall alright. I’ll tell you what though, I made the best shrimp of my life with this beer, all I did was heat up a pan add some butter, cherry wheat, and a little salt and pepper, added the shrimp and cooked it down, with shell on. I see the beer from more of a culinary perspective.

It is what it says it is. Expect a fruit beer. If you don’t like fruit beer or sweeter ales I would shy away from it. Nice cherry flavor but not too sweet. Good taste and finishes light and clean. I’d certainly reccomend it.

Poured an amber color with a thin white head. The aroma was of cherries, honey, and wheat. The flavor was of mostly artificial cherries with some wheat and malt flavors to back it up. The flavor was ok, but nowhere near what real cherries should taste like. The artificial cherry taste takes away from it. It was medium bodied with a sweet finish. This was ok but one I won’t revisit again.

Cherries....cherries....maybe a couple more cherries. Incredibly sweet, almost like someone dumped a cup of Grenadine in each bottle. This was ok for one beer, but no way I could drink more than two. Way too sweet - in a bad way.
