Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

HIDEOUS..... I like the strong cherry aroma and that is where it stops. I found no happiness in this at all. I thought someone had put there cigarette out in my beer.......YUCK

12 oz. Bottle: A honey gold pour into a large snifter with white and off-white head, cherry aroma with a faint malt fragrance, flavor of cherry and faint malt, I was surprised to see the head stay around in a large snifter and lacing on the sides, the cherry has a bit of a off bite, maybe I just do not like this combination, the finish is dry with some bitterness, I did not enjoy this beer, it may not be a bad beer but personally I do not like to drink it, must be my palate, the nose is nice but the taste is off, sort of like you meet this girl and she is sweet but when you kiss her, you feel like you have kissed your sister or something worst, not a good thing.

This beer is proof of why beer and fruit are not a good combo (the sweetwater blue is the only exception I have found so far.) The aroma is wonderful but thats where the good things end. Taste like beer mixed w\ cherry cough med..

On Tap. Aroma is cherry with a little spicy wheat (and I do mean little). No lasting head but a ruby amber hue. Flavor is sweet cherry with a faint malt in the background. Palate is watery. It’s on par for a Sam Adams brew.

From bottle : This is a really nice fruit beer. A somewhat hazy golden pours with nice carbonation and a very nice two and a half finger white foamy head. Lacing is very very nice and leaves a hearty white film around the entire glass. Nose is somewhat faint, but i think it is best that way. It smells of cherries and a little malt, but it is faint, and i like it. Fruit beers with a real overbearing one fruit smell dont go well with me. Taste is malts with cherries, and a little hop bitterness at the back of my tongue toward the end. Again, this is a very nice fruit beer.

Very enjoyable bottled or on tap. Falvour is greatly enhanced if a cherry is placed in the glass. Great golden ruby colour. amazing smell.

Nice hint of sour cherries in this beer. I didn’t think this would be any good but I was wrong. I would buy this again.

Great beer for short intervals but more than a few and it is a bit sickly. Nice aroma and great sweet cherry taste.
