Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

First one out of the box is a little too bitter for me but by number 3 I start to enjoy the cherry flavor. Great beer

12oz bottle into a pint glass. A decent brew that is blatantly cherry... tart and quite sweet.

Whoa! Everything about this beer is so CHERRY. Smells like cherry and the taste of cherry is so strong that it tastes nothing like any other wheat beer. I would be disappointed if I had bought it because I like wheat beer. Anyway as I said the cherry in this beer overshadows anything else. This is not bad if you like cherry products, which I do. However you would not have many of these. I had this beer several months ago but because it had such a distinct taste I remember it well.

Confused on why this brew is offered year round?...as it came across to me as like it was better suited along side OcktoberFest in the Winter time. Strong pungent flavor of cherries which gets to be a little much after 1 or 2. Did not lack in flavor, however aftertaste was rough. I love Sam Adams brews, but Cherry Wheat not my favorite.

I had a six pack of this wheat beer. It does have a rather sweet aroma, though, it smells like cherry candy, very artificial. This beer is slightly cloudy, much like you would find in average wheat ales. The flavor is a change from the norm, and in hot weather can prove to be quite refreshing, just be sure to keep you other favorites nearby as this one has a bitter cherry aftertaste like you would find in cough drops. The palate leaves much to be desired, just serve this one cold to avoid complications. Overall, this beer is an "OK" beer that is best served cold and consumed rather quickly. Just remember this is a wheat beer and can be quite filling as well.

On-tap at Mr. Goodbar’s. Synthetic cherry aroma and taste. Grapefruit body and a bit of soapy head, some lace. Looks OK, average mouthfeel. Nothing special to drink or taste.

Poured into a tasting glass from the tap. The color is light cloudy, amber with a white head. The smell is strong cherry, and a hint of spice. The taste is mostly cherry but it does also have a good wheat flavor as well as a little hops. This last try at tasting this beer became quite a surprise. I was not expecting to really have a positive feeling about this beer. This is a beer that is good for when you need something really light but still want to drink a beer. Not a bad beer for clearing the taste buds in between Imperial porters.

Golden Yellow with a hit of red, strong off-white, tan head dissapates quickly. Sweet cherry/malt smell. Taste is sweet/tart, cherry/malt taste with a bit of yeast, slightly bitter at the end. Good beer, not too sweet for a fruit beer.
