Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Not my usual type of beer, but i was at a party and this is what they had, sweet cheery aroma, a ting of red in the golen light body ale. Cherry flavor evident, but not too sweet, nice Crisp American wheat flavor in the back ground, OK summmer beer.

Bottle and draft--I’m just all over on this beer, before my ratebeer days, I used to love it, then it disappeared. Once, it made its comeback, it is really hit or miss. The aroma and the flavor is massively cherry and gives the beer this light red tint. At times, it can taste light drinking a fruit cake. I would like to rate it higher, but half the time I dred finishing the drink.

I don’t really like flavored beers, so I’m trying to be impartial. As a flavored beer, it wasn’t bad. Perhaps the cherry taste was a little too strong, but not as bad as some make it out in their reviews (I’ve had much worse). It’s drinkable, but I wouldn’t go out of my way for it.

Bottle. Nice aroma of cherries, not too strong. Pours amber/orange with a decent off-white head. The flavor is predominately soft well-rounded cherries that roll smoothly over the tongue. Very nice mouthfeel, with more body than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise. The aftertaste is fairly short, of cherries and a bit of citrus hops. Refreshing and quite enjoyable.

12 oz bottle. Pleasant cherry aroma, nothing artificial about it. Fluffy head. Subtle cherry flavor- not too sweet. But there was just something about the cherry flavor-aftertaste that was a bit too astringent / bitter that detracted from an otherwise pretty good beer.

From the tap, served in a Samuel Adams pint glass. A clear reddish orangey golden appearance with a tight foamy, micro bubbly white head, decent retention, minimal amount of laced sticking. Simple nose of cherry juice and cereal, hints of lemon at the edges. Good carbonation that lends itself to a crisp, firm light bodied mouthfeel, tastes of dry wheat cereal, tart, sweet cherry juice, a bit of soft lemony bitterness towards the end, a dry cherry cereal finish, almost clean finishing, none of the flavors really linger in the palate. Not a classic, but SA Cherry Wheat is refreshing on this hot, muggy summer day, light in body and taste, enjoyable.

Pleasant cherry aroma. Pours dark yellow with a medium frothy head. Mild amt of sticky lacing. Clearer than I expected. Wheat taste with strange, unidentifiable unpleasant after taste. It was ok but I would definitely pick something else over it.

This is an enjoyable beer. It’s kind of like Gatorade and beer mixed, which is a good thing. This beer is a good change of pace.
