Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Bottled.... Pours medium gold with a fluffy white head.. Aroma of artifical cherries, kinda like a cherry perfume. It basically smells like Boston Lager with cherries added...Flavor is bitter cherries with some bready undertones.. It’s not horrible but its not my thang.

Orange in color with a nice white head. Aroma of cherries and wheat. Really get the flavor of cherries in there. A good fruit beer.

bottle. Light orange pour with a thin, fizzy white head. Huge bittersweet cherry aroma. Initial flavor is dominated by sweet cherries with some wheat and malty tones. Slightly bitter finish. As your palate gets used to the flavor the sweetness dulls into more of a tart, bitter taste throughout. A love it or hate it beer, I like it because it tastes more natural than most of the other fruit beers out there.

This is a great tasting beer. Not sure I could drink more than two at a time. Great in a glass with a cherry added.

Bottle from my bro/sis-in-law from the states. Can’t remember who gave it. Pours fine amber with small tan-ish head. Aroma of wheat and cherry. Very sweet. Tasted like a fine wheat with sugary cherry added to it; the same way cherry flavouring is added to cherry coke. Can’t say I’m a fan of this but it is not bad either. It kinda grows on you and is a good summer quencher.

Poured a clear, dark gold color with a compact white head and marginal lacing. The aroma was of a cherry cordial. Cherries and sugar. Artificial though. The flavor is sugar and cherry that gives way as it opens up to the simple malts and grains of a pedestrian lager. Thin mouthfeel. A chick beer.
