COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

I wasn’t expecting much based on some of the bad reviews, but this is pretty drinkable. Pleasant cherry aroma and nice creamy palate. Sweet with some bitterness. A but if a funky finish, but good overall.

bottle. Poured clear amber with a small white head. Maraschino cherry aroma. Light body, creamy mouthfeel with a light dry finish. Candied cherry flavour over a malted wheat base, slight peppery finish.

Bottle at the USAID Bureau for Africa holiday party. The food was great, the company was excellent, but the beer was lacking. This one was a cheap lager with cherry juice added. Full stop.

I certainly see people who like cherry pie and wheat beers would enjoy this; however, for me it’s a little one dimensional. Aroma is sweet cherry (like canned cherry pie filling). The taste is sweet cherry and faintly wheat with very little beer character. The palate is sweet and lingering. If it were drier or perhaps more depth in the beer qualities--it might be really exceptional. Overall, it’s a fruit beer, so what do you expect?

Bottle - Sweet maraschino cherries and some light wheat notes. Cloudy orange gold with a rich white head. Tastes as sweet as it smells with some wheat notes in the back. This is just too sweet for my tastes.

Pours a hazy golden orange with a small off white head. Very strong aroma of cherry extract. Medicinal cherry flavor with wheat malt.

12 Fl. Oz. Bottle. Poured hazy, in reddish golden color, nice foamy white head. Aroma is strong cherry and grain. Taste is also of cherries (feels a bit artificial) quite sweet and a bit sticky. Not my favorite from Samuel Adams, but nevertheless drinkable and interesting.

My favorite Sam Adams beer, I like most of them! This a great beer, taste of cherry is very subtle, this is not a fruit flavored beer, the taste of cherry is just slight.

Bottle at home. Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow. Aroma I start cherries. Flavor is cherry cough syrup. Only not as good. Cough syrup at least helps with a cough. Very bitter. Cherries taste artificial. Yuck. Didn't like this at all. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a hazy orangish-amber. Aroma is cherries and some wheat. Taste is sweet with a little tartness.
