Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Had this most recently at Logan airport: Was served with a cherry floating in the bottom. Definitely has an unnatural medicinal cherry flavor to it. I used to really like this stuff, but since I've tried bigger and better beers, it's hard to go back.

(WBA) courtesy of Laurent Mousson - clear bronze colour with a white foam; strong aroma of amaretto; high carbonation and a moderate malt body; sweet and tart, relatively dry finish of almonds and cherries - one-dimensional but very presentable

AIBA 2003: artificial cherry aroma, candy like flavours, sweetish, but dries out a touch towards the end, abit stupid, but not all that bad.

Bottled, shared, Pasteurised. Weird hazed orange colour, no lasting head. Ok, the aroma is Cherryaid, thats the good bit over. This is syrupy sweet, plastic tasting, toilet cleaner. Oh dear me, the taste took ages to go away, I had to go and brush toothpaste on my tongue and gargle with listerine. Foul.

Pale amber coloured. Artificial cherry and marzipan aroma. Cloyingly sweet and artificial. Very thin and watery.

Pours copper with a thin white head. Smells of cherries and some wheat. Tastes of cherries, mild tartness, some malty notes and caramel.

Cloudy orange beer with a thick beige head. Intense, sweet cherry aroma. Syrupy sweet and somewhat artificial tasting. No real maltiness or hops. Sweetness get cloying. It isn’t really bad, but it’s more of an alcopop than a beer. A bit of spice near the end.
