Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® follows the centuries old American tradition of brewing beer with native ingredients, in this case Michigan cherries as well as a touch of honey. The sweet fruitiness of the cherries is balanced against the crisp, cereal note from the malted wheat and the subtle citrus flavor from the Noble hops. The end result is a sweet, refreshing beer that is light on the palate but long on complexity. Introduced in 1995 as a summer seasonal brew, Samuel Adams Cherry Wheat® developed a large enough following to be introduced as a year round style. Its distinct cherry character has made it one of the most unique and well liked styles of Samuel Adams® beer ever. Cherries are added at two different points during the brewing process. Once during the mash and again during finishing.

Pours a deep orange/red color with a white head. Smells of cherry. Tastes like a wheat beer with a mild cherry flavor. It’s decent, but not that great.

i gotta say im not much for fruity beers. but ill be damned if this stuff isnt tasty. the yeasty malty flavor of a wheat beer combined with a very authentic tangy flavor of cherries. its a guilty pleasure for those too manly to drink fruit beers.

Bottle. The cherry wheat combination didn’t work for me. The cherry isn’t subtle, and I like the fact that it’s more of a tart than sweet cherry flavor, but it just sort of clashed with the wheat, producing a heavy, almost chalky taste.

Wow! if you thought you might be in the mood for cherry’s you found the right beer. Very light with medium carbonation, very strong sweet cherry to start with a semi bitter sour cherry finish followed by some mild hops to round it out. One of the more unique things from this company, good from time to time but I can’t think of pairing any food with it and really wouldn’t drink more than one in a week.

Good beer, highly drinkable. Prominent cherry taste. Didn’t rate it at the time of drinking, but it’s hard to forget a brew like this. I doubt I’d drink more than 2 of these in one sitting.

2008-09-24. Crisp yellow body with a smallish white head. Big sweet artificial seeming cherry aroma, underlying grains. (5+) Flavour is likewise dominated by sweet cherry with light bitterness and wheat/grains below. Average plus palate is more than I would have expected. Meh, okay, not much here but decent for a pretty mainstream fruit beer. Bottle from Premier Gourmet, Buffalo
