Back Log. On Draft. Thin bodied brew with a strong chocolate and coacoa presence. The finish was a bit much on the sweet end, but with a splash of vanilla. However not a bad brew. The smell was nice and rich.

On tap at the Blue Canoe. how in the world a bar in Tupelo, MS got this I have no idea, but it was nice on this cold pre-winter eve on the patio. I think this oughta be re-named the Tootsie Roll beer, because they NAILED that flavor. Decent, very thin for what I wanted it to be though, and a bit one note with the fakey chocolate. Still, I enjoyed it.

Sampled at Raleigh Rare and Vintage 2013. Clear bright brown pour with faint tan head. Very nutty. toffee, cocoa, sweet vanilla - not tootsie roll. Struck me as ’authentic’ cocoa as opposed to fake syrup additive. Semi bittersweet finish. I actually enjoyed it quite a bit.

Cream ale? I don’t remember it having any cream ale qualities. Just a shit load of chocolate aromas and flavors. A real chocolate bomb. Ok at first then overpowering.

Tap at rrbf. Sammy, why you bring us all this chocolate stuff? Too bad Utopias was gone but I doubt I would have payed $30 a pour anyway. Don’t particularly care for super rich old ales anyway and millenium was sort of a letdown. This beer sucked donkey balls. fake natty Choco buttery flavor. Ugh.
2.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 pkbites (571) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - DEC 16, 2012
Lovely color and chocolately aroma. But it has a weird artificial taste to it that is very off putting. I expected better from Sam. On tap at Uncle Mikes, Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Not the worst beer. Overload of chocolate makes me wonder. It is a bit like yohoo or some kind of artificial chocolate drink.
