COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hazy and golden in color, this brew is a fresh twist on the popular Hefeweizen style. Eureka and Lisbon lemons, from three growing regions in California, balance out the wheat malt character, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wheat ale with subtle lemon flavor. Cheers!

Bottle: Pale golden color with a light haze and lots of bubbles. A finger of creamy white head. The lemon is strong in the aroma, along with a little maltiness, and lighter florals. Taste is more wheat oriented than the aroma would suggest; wheat, light grass, and just enough lemon/citrus to notice. Sessionable.

Sweet wheat aroma with hints of lemon. Cloudy golden color with a medium white head. Mild sweet cardboard flavor with a sticky palate.

Poured from a bottle into a Samuel Adams pint glass. Ah, itís been too long since Iíve had a Sam Adams... I wound up getting a Brewmaster Variety Pack. This was included with Irish Red and Latitude 48 IPA -- the latter of which Iíve already had. Appearance: Thereís next to no head on this beer... none at all. Itís very thing and wispy. As for the lacing, thereís none of that to speak of. The color of the beer is nice... a hazy yellow color that reminds me of Mountain Dew when I put it up to the light. Smell: Very wheat-heavy, with traces of citrus in there as well. Pleasant, but nothing overpowering or too exciting. Taste: Above average, but nothing thatíll make your pupils dilate. I feel like this could well be Samuel Adamís summer beer because itís really easy to drink. Clean, wheaty, citrusy... tasty. Mouthfeel: Watery, with mild carbonation, but smooth as it foams up a bit on your tongue. Pretty average. Overall, I really like Coastal Wheat. Far from my favorite Sam Adams beer, but Iíll have no problem drinking the other thatís in the six-pack. Another good offering from S.A.

12oz bottle. Hazy yellow appearance, decent-size head. Yeasty aromas with a bit of spice. I didnít get too much of the lemon taste, but it definitely has "wheat-y" roots. Itís not bad, but Iíd rather drink a real hefeweizen, or a witbier - not this.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy yellow orange body with a one finger fizzy white head that left a little sticky lacing. The nose on this one just doesít do it for me. It smells like a box of lemonheads dissolved in instant lemonade powder with just a light bit of yeast and wheat. The flavor is thankfully a little bit more toned down in the lemon than the aroma up front, but it does finish a bit like lemon Pledge. Thereís a yeast slurry flavor that permeates throughout, but it seems to just add a bit of weirdness to the whole mix of things. Light bodied with a slightly creamy texture and soft fizzy carbonation. This one was a pretty big flop for me. If I wanted to drink instant lemonade, I wouldnít have opened a beer.

This pale wheat ale pours a light golden yellow and has the delicate taste of wheat and lemons. A great summer beer as it drinks lightly and tastes great. Another great beer from Sam Adams.

Wife let me sample some of hers. Bottle into a pint glass. Hazy yellow color with white head. Aroma of wheat, citrus and yeast. Taste is light and refreshing, not much character though. Easy drinking for warmer weather.
