Hazy and golden in color, this brew is a fresh twist on the popular Hefeweizen style. Eureka and Lisbon lemons, from three growing regions in California, balance out the wheat malt character, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wheat ale with subtle lemon flavor. Cheers!

Lovely murky orange-gold color. Slight citrus aroma. Light in flavor and body without the yeasty taste that so many wheat beers have. Finishes quickly and cleanly. Easy going down and a good one for all day drinking.

Bottle. My response to this was a resounding eh. The description from the brewery is deceiving in calling the lemon flavor subtle - it is not. I had trouble finding much difference between this and the Summer Ale. The immediate tastes are lemon and wheat. It’s a bit more bitter than I’d like as well; I was not terribly impressed by this one. The last few "new" beers that Sam has put out have been terribly average and underwhelming, I’m concerned they’re lowering their game.

(bottle - 12 oz) Hazy straw color with a fluffy white head. Aroma is bready and smells a bit like lemon furniture polish. Lemon and dry wheat dominate the flavor. That’s about all I was able to taste. The lemon flavor lasted for a while.

Pours a hazy straw color with a couple of fingers of white head that leave behind some lacing. Surprisingly faint aroma, wheat with some lemon and pepper. The flavor is a little better, crisp wheat highlighted by the light lemon. Nice and light and easy to drink but forgettable.

Bottle from the Binny’s in Orland Park, IL: This poured a lightly hazy straw/amber body with a modest size head and provided spotty lace. The aroma was bread and lemon juice. The flavor was mainly lemon. For a "fresh twist on the popular Hefeweizen style," this is really pretty blah.

Hazy gold/amber with a white foamy head. Aromas of wheat and lemon. Taste has too much lemon in it, and not enough wheat. Sweet and finishes smooth. Very drinkable, but might have been better with less lemon.

Bottle from Root Cellar. Poured hazy golden color with an average white frothy head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate wheat and sour citrus aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium sour citrus flavor with a moderate sweet & sour finish of moderate duration. Good soft drinkable beer.

Hazy golden color with a taller off-white head. Scents of sweet wheat and lemons zest. Flavors of grainy wheat and dough in the start. Some light, not quite ripe fruit. Key lime in the middle. Acidic in the finish and linger.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange body with white lacing. Aroma is nothing. Flavor is pretty boring, nothing but a slight lemon flavor with some funk. BORING.

Twelve ounce bottle from a grocery in Maynardville, Tn. Pours a dirty golden body with a tall offwhite head that quckly falls to a cap. Aroma of lemon zest and wheat cracker. Light medium body with crisp carbonation. Taste is yeasty, with a wheat twang and lots of lemon zest. Some wheat cracker. Overly yeasty, which hurts drinkabiltiy.
