Commercial Description:
Hazy and golden in color, this brew is a fresh twist on the popular Hefeweizen style. Eureka and Lisbon lemons, from three growing regions in California, balance out the wheat malt character, resulting in a crisp and refreshing wheat ale with subtle lemon flavor. Cheers!

Pours a hazy straw color with a couple of fingers of white head that leave behind some lacing. Surprisingly faint aroma, wheat with some lemon and pepper. The flavor is a little better, crisp wheat highlighted by the light lemon. Nice and light and easy to drink but forgettable.

Bottle. Pours a golden yellow with very very little white head. Aroma consists of a lot of lemon with a bit of wheat. Seems most people didn’t catch that but for me it came instantly. Taste was right on par with an easy drinking citrus wheat, just with some obvious lemon emphasized with it. Overall, not bad but nothing too great - easy to drink.

Aroma - citrus, light wheat; Appearance - hazy golden, very fluffy head, poor lacing; Taste - mild wheat front, citrus back, hint of sweetness, finish has somewhat of a citrus tang; Palate - slight crispness, good body for the style; Overall - pretty basic wheat, nothing really jumps out yet it’s still well built.

12oz bottle from a sampler pack purchased at our local grocery store. Rated in a Pils glass. SACW pours slightly cloudy and comfortably yellow with a large white head that settles quickly. The aroma is dusty with grains and nearly makes me sneeze. It’s definitely reminiscent of wheat! The body is nice and light and just short of being dry. If there is lemon in here it is very subtle. I don’t know if I would have came up with lemon if I hadn’t read the brewer’s description. There is, however, a generic mild citrus fruit flavor that works well with the wheat core. This is an easy-drinking tasty beer that you shouldn’t shy away from if given the chance to try. The finish is where you can argue the lemon flavor. It leaves that same phlemy throat feel behind that lemonade does.

Out of the bottle into a sensory glass, it pours golden color, and hazy as it is a wheat beer. It has a good frothy head that dissipates fast. A light taste with strong lemon, moreso than a Sam Summer. This beer has average carbonation and an abrupt, bitter finish. Very good, and I will make this my go to beer in the summer.

Bottle Pours a hazy yellow with a good white head. The head is froathy and lasting. Makes some spotty lacing. The aroma is wheat, lemon and soapy water. Has a light carbonation. The flavor is clean and light. A refreshing beer on a hot day. The texture is watery. Has a light body. The finish is soft and an okay aftertaste. Decent easy drinking beer.

Bottle. Pours a crystal clear golden color, but very fizzy. Light citrus aroma with a hint of malt. Kind of bland though. Decent flavor. Infused with some lemon. Light malt. Not too bad of a taste. I actually kind of like this beer! Not bad!

Again, not as bad as many of the reviewers claim. But they are correct when describing this as ’bland, boring’ and ’too much lemon in my beer" does NOT improve the classic german style at all. light, lawnmower beer
