2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
In a bottle. The aroma was almost overwhelming lemon with a very sweet aftertaste. Ok but not great for a white ale.

Poured from bottle into a pint glass
Appearance – The beer pours a super hazy orange amber color with a one finger of pure white head. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a light level of lace on the sides of the glass.
Smell – The aroma of the beer is yeasty and spicy with lots of a yeast cake smell mixed with tons of coriander and some clove. Along with these yeast and spice smells are some aromas of sweeter orange and some orange peel as well as some lemon and wheat. A light pepper like smell rounds out the smell producing a rather heavily yeasty and spiced Belgian white smell.
Taste – The taste begins with a huge yeasty, bready and wheaty taste with lots of spice flavors of coriander and clove right up front. The spice, while strong upfront, gets even stronger as the taste moves on to the end, with the coriander and clove being joined by some nutmeg and allspice. Some lighter citrus flavors of tangerine and orange come to the tongue quickly initially after the initial tastes, but remain on the lighter side, never really able to compete with the spice or the wheat. In the end, with the mass of spice and thicker bready and wheat flavors of the brew, one is left with a lightly citrus flavored thick and chewy spiced wheat bread flavor to linger on the tongue.
Mouthfeel – The body of the beer is on the thicker and chewier side with a carbonation level that is on the lower side. The thick body and lower carbonation accentuate the spice a bit too much in my opinion, making them far too dominant on the tongue with them overpowering the other flavors a bit too much.
Overall – Too thick and heavily spiced. Not really something that I found all that palatable.

Added flavors take the main stage, notably orange and coriander. Tart finish is less than great but beer is refreshing nonetheless.

UPDATED: SEP 8, 2014 A fresh witbier that does what it should do. Quite refreshing but a bit thin.

"Light color and body, aroma and flavor floral and spicey. I’d have said light lavender but I’d have been wrong. Soft on the palate, lightly fruity though the traditional wit spices are pretty light."

Awesome. The coriander and orange peel flavors that they talk about on the bottle, you can actually taste them, and they should be in every beer.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Serving: Bottle. Hazy dark gold pour. Slightly citrusy nose with a hint of wheat. Very wit like flavor wise. A little flabby on the tongue. I really don’t dig Wits as a winter brew. While not bad, it isn’t remarkable either.

Tap@Bishops Arms, Savoy, Malmo - golden coloured pour with firm white head. Sweet wheaty and malty aroma and taste, doughy yeast, floral and herbal nuances going on, some lemon/orange citrus fruit on the palate.

Ugh stop with the Blue Moon take offs. Sam can make a good craft but this is not even close. Just a money maker.
