Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Pours a lovely deep cranberry color - hazy reddish amber when held up to light, witha small white head. There’s actually some lambic funk in the aroma! I never expected that from Sam Adams! The aroma also has sweet malt, and cranberries. The flavor is very nice, it is sweet, a bit acidic, sour, funky, and cranberry Palate is acidic and effervescent. Overall this is much better than I expected, very nice.

Hazy red with a light head. Smell is not as strong in the fruit as I expected. Can definitely smell the cranberry, but it’s not sickly sweet like I expected, especially with the low rating here. More cranberry sweet in the mouth, like i did expect. Medium full in the mouth. Almost like a snakebite with black currants. Maybe it’s better warm like I’m drinking it. Probably 50 deg. Not as bad as 16th percentile.

Split the bottle with Butters. Pours a peachy colored head with a cloudy, burnt orange body. Smells like cranberry bread. Tastes of cranberries. It is sweet and sour with a more prevalent sour finish.

Bottle shared with Barrios at work. Pours a hazy peach color with thin rose colored head. Nose is very sweet cranberry. Flavor is sweet with a tart cranberry finish.Reminds me of their cherry wheat. I was actually okay with this, it certainly isnt a lambic, but its not that bad as a change of pace.

A decent holiday beer. I purchased it in a variety pack, and even though I have enjoyed the one bottle that I got, I wouldn’t want another one.

Despite the ratings this beer has received, I was quite the fan. Pours a hazy red with a small white head. Nice aroma of cranberry with a malt background. The cranberry flavor isn’t overpowering at all either. It compliments the malt character very well. Refreshing too. I bet this would compliment food very well. Worth a try for sure.

Yeasty Me Beasty! Not one to search out. Lots of carbonation which seems to applify a burst of tartness that quickly dissapates. It is the dud of the box.
