scooterbub (332), Lander, Wyoming, USA Dec 5, 2008 Bottle from a Seasonal Pack. Pours a cloudy red amber with a large white head that quickly fades. Taste is of cranberries, malt, wheat and alcohol. Kind of sweet and tart. Easy to drink, but the cranberry taste feels artificial. Aroma is much the same, but toned down. Not a bad beer, but something about it seems off. fredandboboflo (1395), East Setauket, New York, USA Dec 4, 2008 Bottle. Aroma starts off wheaty with some sugary cranberry, some weird musty notes. Weirdness just grows in both the nose and then the flavor. Musty, yogurty, sweet-musty cranberries. Maybe some vegetal qualities, hard to tell if that was part of the plan or not. Very odd and not enjoyable. RasterMaster (120), , Oklahoma, USA Dec 4, 2008 Pinkish pour into burgundy-amber which gives a thick off-white head that quickly dissipates into light carbonated bubbles rising into frothy lacings around the rim of the glass. Aroma of soured malty fruits with slight taste of tart cranberry that is mostly reminiscent of flat diet cherry 7-up. This is one Samuel Adams could leave out of the holiday package. gringo332 (237), Richardson, Texas, USA Dec 3, 2008 Updated: Dec 17, 2008Uniquie beer.Samuel Adams Cranberry Lambic is a hazy pinkish ale with a thin white head. It has an aroma of a barrel and stones. It is medium-light bodied, with a fluffy finish basewars (144), Albany, New York, USA Nov 30, 2008 Pours clear red with pink head. Aroma is simple cranberry. Flavor is the same. There’s nothing really "lambic" about this beer. That said, it tastes good. Unique69crazy (119), Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA Nov 29, 2008 This is nasty. Very raw taste, not going to buy this anymore. Nothing good to say about this. If you want to seek out a good lambic, better stick to the higher priced items astrofrk (218), Knoxville, Tennessee, USA Nov 29, 2008 Cloudy amber. Medium head. Aroma: Yeast, wheat, spices. Flavor: Cranberries, cloves, mutmeg, yeast. Sour finish. elihapa (1034), Honolulu, California, USA Nov 28, 2008 11/21/08 notes: bottle. Aroma is tart, like green apple. I found this lambic to be entirely too weak, almost like SA felt the need to create a fushion ale-lambic in order to prevent this beer from being too unusual. Yes, I tasted the cranberry, but it came off as an artificially sweet sensation not unlike an overly-sweet brand of cranberry juice. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t god-awful – I even imaging it has some fans – but just so indescript.
