Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

This is nasty. Very raw taste, not going to buy this anymore. Nothing good to say about this. If you want to seek out a good lambic, better stick to the higher priced items

11/21/08 notes: bottle. Aroma is tart, like green apple. I found this lambic to be entirely too weak, almost like SA felt the need to create a fushion ale-lambic in order to prevent this beer from being too unusual. Yes, I tasted the cranberry, but it came off as an artificially sweet sensation not unlike an overly-sweet brand of cranberry juice. Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t god-awful – I even imaging it has some fans – but just so indescript.

Samuel Adams Cranberry Lambic is a hazy pinkish ale with a thin white head. It has an aroma of a barrel and stones. It is medium-light bodied, with a fluffy finish. It is malty and estery-- more banana-clove than cranberry. The finish is sweet. This doesn’t seem like a lambic.

Easy drinking brew here. Overwhelming cranberry flavor. Wouldn’t seek out, but would drink again.

12oz bottle from a sam adams variety pack from a year or two back.... pours a semi-cloudy light strawberry red with a thin soapy white head.... sweet musty strawberries almost artificial like, some bananas.... flavors resemble more like a strawberry wheat beer. shouldn’t this be an alco-pop?
