ndfreak77 (76), USA Oct 29, 2008 Was pleasantly surprised when I tried this in the Winter Variety pack. Pours a reddish tan color . The flavor really challenges the tastes buds. It starts ot with a sweet, fruity tastes and gives way to a unique, but not over done bitterness. Realy Good stuff. bdhact1 (2), , Florida, USA does not count Oct 27, 2008 It’s only available in thier seasonal packs. Not available in 6 packs. You have to drink all the other beers in a case just to get 4 Lambics. I would perfer just the lambic in a 6 pack. jimmack34 (560), Lancaster, Ohio, USA Oct 27, 2008 Pours almost blood red then fads off.. Head is dense but short lived. Smells tart and sour with a wheaty/grainy bitter overtone. Tastes tart then sour/sweet. Followed by a weird bitterness. A very unusual taste but maybe I need to pair it with something like turkey or duck. Its ok. LilBeerDoctor (1480), East Setauket, New York, USA Oct 25, 2008 Bottle. Pours a dirty-ish red with a small light pink head. Aroma of grainy malt, vegetable stew, and cranberries. Flavor is full of cranberries and an odd-tasting grainy malt (cereal I guess?). Also some burnt smokey malts, not sure where that came from. Kind of weird, but not bad either. Underhook (162), Lincoln Park, New Jersey, USA Oct 24, 2008 Pours a bit muddled, no real red color, just cloudy brown. Smells of malt only, no fruit. Taste is straight cranberry- if you like it, you’ll love this beer. I am pretty ’’meh’’ on cranberry, personally. Finish is good, mouthfeel is good. This is a love-it or hate-it beer. epf33 (222), Fairfax, Virginia, USA Oct 21, 2008 ’’fruity’’ taste might be a bit of an understatement. and the wheat undertone is delightful. mildly sour aftertaste. fidelis83 (709), Clinton, Iowa, USA Oct 20, 2008 Pours strawberry tinted amber with a 2 finger white head that lasts onlt a minute or so before fading to a skim that leaves spotted lacing. Aroma Is lots of wheat, lemon grass, cheese, apples, and orange blossom. Flavor is dried cranberries, raisin bran cereal, yeasty cloves and a little wheat and some lemon danish. Finish is wheaty and lemon, short and sweet. Overall-not as offessive as the rating suggests, but really lacking in strength, and body. marksahara (79), Atlanta, Georgia, USA Oct 7, 2008 12 oz bottle. Pours a clear crimson red with minimal crown. Aroma is reminiscent of a hint of wheat malt, some yeast, but predominantly comprised of cranberries. Flavour is bitter from the beginning - the cranberries are featured up front and don’t fade, even after the taste is over. Spritely carbonation makes this taste like a cranberry soda, since there is a good bit of sweetness in this light-bodied beer. The finish is crisp and bitter, but does leave a hint of yeast on the palate with a good helping of cranberries. Mouthfeel is a bit oily for me, though it is very likable. Definitely a beer that deifies common conceptions of what a beer can be. Someone who does not like traditional beers should try this.
