Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Sour wheat and floral cranberry nose. amber color w/deep pink hue, small soapy head. Sugary fruit tart sweetness with biscuit, mild bitterness. Mild carbonation, thinner body with a wine-like finish. Decent beer mild Lambic-style, and a great ’’gateway’’ beer to bridge someone into the world of sour beers

12oz bottle. Kind of putrid looking, but its what i would expect. German hef aroma with a hint of cranberry and sugary icing. Sweet, low bitterness with some banana, cranberry, spice and a very subtle tartness. This is an odd one, but is actually much more drinkable than I thought. Tastes like more of a soft drink than a beer, and this sweetness is getting to me...

Poured into a pint glass. Sickly clear guava/strawberry color with a pinkish-ecru head that fizzles into nothing within a minute. Smells like cran-grape juice and mealy old wheat. Artificial sweet fruitiness that isn’t particularly reminiscent of cranberry. Big maple syrup note that turns cloying. Thin bodied and not tart enough to be called a lambic. Pretty much tastes like carbonated fruit juice. Thumbs down.

The best thing about this beer is its appearance. It pours a hazy blood orange with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma is sweet/sour and gives way to a very sweet then sour flavor with a very odd, bitter finish. Interesting is the best word for this beer, and it is a unique experience to drink even for a seasoned beer knurd.

Was pleasantly surprised when I tried this in the Winter Variety pack. Pours a reddish tan color . The flavor really challenges the tastes buds. It starts ot with a sweet, fruity tastes and gives way to a unique, but not over done bitterness. Realy Good stuff.

It’s only available in thier seasonal packs. Not available in 6 packs. You have to drink all the other beers in a case just to get 4 Lambics. I would perfer just the lambic in a 6 pack.

Pours almost blood red then fads off.. Head is dense but short lived. Smells tart and sour with a wheaty/grainy bitter overtone. Tastes tart then sour/sweet. Followed by a weird bitterness. A very unusual taste but maybe I need to pair it with something like turkey or duck. Its ok.

Bottle. Pours a dirty-ish red with a small light pink head. Aroma of grainy malt, vegetable stew, and cranberries. Flavor is full of cranberries and an odd-tasting grainy malt (cereal I guess?). Also some burnt smokey malts, not sure where that came from. Kind of weird, but not bad either.
