Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Bottle. Golden pour with small ring head. Slighty fruity aroma. Gives a smooth feeling on the tongue, but I didn’t get much real cranberry flavor, and it has sort of a flat finish.

had this beer in a holiday sampler pack. I enjoyed it the LEAST of the bunch. It was not refreshing of even very good. I remember giving away the last one to a ’friend’. Sam Adams is a good brewery but this was wasn’t very good.

Pours a reddish orangewith a thin tan head. Aroma made me not want to drink it. Taste is okay. Cranberries, malt, and honey left on the lips and tongue but there’s still that sourness.

Samuel adams cranberry lambic 7 3 11 4 5 30 2/10/08 From 12oz bottle. Aroma a blend of tart cranberry and low phenolics of cloves and plastics. These are faint enough to not harm the overall quality, but don’t really make it delicious either. Appearance is copper with a very slight haze and an extremely well maintained white head. Flavor is true fruit forward, with a tannic, winelike character. Phenolic character stays in the background and is barely noticeable. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly lingering finish that is sweet and slightly sour. Overall, it’s an ok lambic, but strikes too much of a compromise, avoiding the interesting high complexity and overdoing the fruit content at the same time.

As much as i disliked the leinies berry weiss, I was not expecting much. Bottom line, this aint bad. Not something i’d drink a lot of, but with a leftover turkey sandwich, it goes down real nice. Dispite the name, i didn’t get much lambic style out of it.

Bottle- sampler pack. Nice lacing, slight pink hue. Doughy, yeasty aroma. Tart upfront, with nice real cranberry flavor- nothing artificial at all. Lightly sour, touch of vanilla. Enugh sweetness to be surprisingly hearty. This is good stuff.
