2/10/08 From 12oz bottle. Aroma a blend of tart cranberry and low phenolics of cloves and plastics. These are faint enough to not harm the overall quality, but don’t really make it delicious either. Appearance is copper with a very slight haze and an extremely well maintained white head. Flavor is true fruit forward, with a tannic, winelike character. Phenolic character stays in the background and is barely noticeable. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a slightly lingering finish that is sweet and slightly sour. Overall, it’s an ok lambic, but strikes too much of a compromise, avoiding the interesting high complexity and overdoing the fruit content at the same time.

Bottom line, this aint bad. Not something i’d drink a lot of, but with a leftover turkey sandwich, it goes down real nice.
Dispite the name, i didn’t get much lambic style out of it. Kirill (264), Durham, North Carolina, USA

Tart upfront, with nice real cranberry flavor- nothing artificial at all. Lightly sour, touch of vanilla. Enugh sweetness to be surprisingly hearty. This is good stuff. | 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Feb 7, 2008 Pours grapefruit amber with pretty tiny head. Nose of tart cranberry and malt. By no means can this ever pass for a lambic. Its a little sour, but artificial. Dry finish with a very mellow, low key aftertaste. Honestly, this is sub par. latneyblunk (40), Kentucky, USA
