Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

From bottle (sampler gift). Very disappointing aroma... I had to try real hard to sense any cranberry. Almost a smoky aroma. White head on top of cloudy, orange. It tasted sweet & sour, but it lacked the tartness that you’d expect. I would not get again.

Bad, just plain bad. Bought a sampler pack of several styles and this one was poured down the drain.

I went in expecting the worst as I’m not a big fan of cranberry. It was better than I’d expected, but certainly not anything worth writing home about. Orangish-red color and sweet cranberry aroma. They’ve added maple syrup to the mix and that sweetness definitely tones down the tartness of the cranberry. I agree with the poster below who said it’s not a true lambic--it’s a fruity beer for mainstream audience masquerading as a lambic. Not really much here to recommend it.

A 12 oz bottle with a notch system for dateing the beer. The beer poured a copper red body with a white head with red hints. The smell is a bitter cranberry. The taste is nice mix of hops and cranberries but a bitter after taste. A good carbonation and lacing. Six pack!

Bottle. Pinkish beer with an off-white head. Sweet, tart, light fruit roll-up aroma. Fruit roll-up flavor with some malt. Medium body. Fruit roll-up lingers. Got worse as I drank more.

Bottle. Appearance: Pink amber, eggshell head. Aroma: Sweet, tart and fruity. Cranberry dominates. Also a little wheaty. Palate: Medium/light. Flavor: Very sweet cranberry. Kind of tart. Was a weird, dairy, almost yogurt like sourness. Overall: I poured half of this beer down the drain. I’m not crazy about cranberry drinks in general. This one was just to much for me. Worst of their winter 12 pack by far.

Bottle, from winter mixer. Pours a mostly clear gold to amber with medium diminishing white head. Aroma is awfully sweet from candy to genuine fruit with a touch of cranberry and a good dose of wheatiness. Flavor is weirdly sweet and wheaty with a cranberry yogurt overtone leading to a syrupy and lightly tangy short finish. Pretty strange overall and never really any good.

Not a true lambic. Orange color with almost no head. Aroma of cranberries, fruits, nutmeg. Sweet taste-lots of fruit and wheat. Lacked the tartness and body of a true lambic.
