Cryotek (206), Pawtucket, Rhode Island, USA Dec 21, 2007 Updated: Jan 19, 2008Maybe something was wrong with my bottle but i couldn’t even finish this. I’ve enjoyed there cherry wheat which isn’t a fruit beer, but something was wrong with this one, i hope there not all like this. My best description for this would be poisned cranberry juice. 1/19/08 - From the sam winter pack thats been in my fridge since the first ratting, this one is just as bad if not worse, yuck! 17thfloor (1403), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 20, 2007 Pours pink like cheap champagne, very fine white head. Aroma of sweet cranberrys and little yeast. First taste is very tart and puckering... that fades and each sip thereafter is of light cranberrys, more on the sweet side than the bitter side of cranberrys.... sparkling watered-down cranberry juice... wish that tart sourness of the first taste stood up. Strange cereal aftertaste. Surprisingly nice attempt at a lambic...has that tartness, some dustiness.. just seems a bit detached. Tilley4 (218), Huron, Tennessee, USA Dec 19, 2007 I actually thought this was a fairly decent beer. I’ve never had a Lambic and from what I understand, this ain’t one, but it aint bad either. Tastes like Christmas.
Amberish red color with a nice fluffy head. Actually looks pretty good.
Ok, I can definitely smell the cranberries in this but I think I’m supposed to.
Kind of a tart taste to this, similar to cranberry juice with a bit of biscuit thrown in.
Very fruity but still pretty good. Not sure I could handle more than one or two but I still like the fact that I can get them at Christmas. Slipstream (734), USA Dec 18, 2007 Nice, copper brew with a tangy, citrus wine flavor. Sweetness and sourness both present, along with light hops. A nice change of pace from the Boston Beer Company. They continue to be good at making unusual beers more palatable and less strange for your average American drinker. vmilaxer29 (144), Virginia, USA Dec 17, 2007 The cranberry aroma is very strong, but the taste is quite horrible. I couldn’t even finish this beer, I guess you have to have a taste for it. Hance07 (192), DownSouth, Georgia, USA Dec 17, 2007 Nice smell of cranberries on the nose. the cranberry flavor isnt overpowering. the aftertaste is slightly bitter or sour from the cranberry. not as bad as i thought it would be. i would have another. jredmond (1015), New Jersey, USA Dec 17, 2007 Updated: Feb 6, 200812 oz bottle out of the winter variety pack. Aroma is cranberry jelly. Taste is very sweet and some wheat. Not a bad fruit beer. I don’t think I could have more than one of these. dancatts (91), Pennsylvania, USA Dec 17, 2007 This is one of the best fruit beers I have tried. Aroma and taste gave a strong cranberry taste with just enough flavor of beer to even out the mixture.
