rocbyter (902), Waterbury, Connecticut, USA Dec 3, 2007 Slight cranberry and lots of yeast in the aroma. Cloudy light amber color with a small white head. Smokey yeast beginning to this one with a tangy cranberry finish. Light notes of wood also evident. scrizzz (1250), kirkland, Washington, USA Dec 3, 2007 incredible thick head maintained by thousands of active tiny bubbles. faint cranberry and cherry on the nose, mostly mildewy yeast. the shade of pink with all those bubbles looks like a mimosa. wow. fruit forward like a wine cooler, sticky sweet. very light bodied, lifted still from the carbonation. i cant rightly finish this stretchfest (45), St. Louis, Missouri, USA Dec 2, 2007 Bottle. Wheat and cranberry smell. Clear reddish-orange color. Almost no head. Tastes like cranberry juice without the bitter aftertaste. Also has hints of wheat and banana. Finishes sour. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA Dec 2, 2007 I did not enjoy this fruit beer, not sure why it was labeled a Lambic as it really didn’t resemble one in the classic sense. It did, however, taste an awful lot like cranberries, too bad I don’t’ like cranberries all that much. Sour tasting, very thin, not likely to try again. ChainGangGuy (2523), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Dec 2, 2007 Appearance: Pours a pale orange body with a small, fizzy white head.
Smell: The aroma has a light wheatiness to it, fruity notes of cranberries and bananas, and comes armed with a lactic sourness. Hint of clove.
Taste: Wheaty, cereal taste starts when in comes the cutting sour-sweet cranberry and banana flavors. A big lactic note chomps down on the palate. A slight acidity sweeps any remnants of fruity sweetness leaving a sour finish.
Mouthfeel: Light-bodied. Medium-high carbonation. Oddly mouth-coating.
Drinkability: I must admit, it’s not my favorite in the Samuel Adams line-up. dankman38 (228), Somewhere in, Ohio, USA Dec 1, 2007 Updated: Dec 4, 2007Pours amber with a smallish white head. Sour nose with hints of cranberry. Tastes slightly sweet and sour, not very lambic-like. Finishes a bit sweet. Tastes more like cider than lambic. jberti (19), Albany, New York, USA Dec 1, 2007 Pours amber, almost a cider color. Citrus armoa, bitter cranberry. Semi-tart cranberry finish with hint of cider apple. because I do not love the cider’s I rank this lower. A average beer. bobaidan (358), Farmington, Connecticut, USA Dec 1, 2007 Pours amber with a touch of pink. Aroma is (surprise) sour cranberry. Mouth feel is thin with a bit of carbonation. Flavor is very sweet and lacks the sourness that is present in the aroma. Heffe-like wheat characteristics are also present. Once I got over the fact that this is not as sour as I expect from a lambic, I actually enjoyed it.
