Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Cloudy tan body with a very small head. It has aromas of cranberry and relish. Not much else to say about it.

Smells of musty old sticky malts, like a recycling center. Theres a soft hint of cranberry towards the end. Tastes like watered down musty old cranberry juice. This is my first lambic, so I’m not sure if that musty flavor is normal or not, but this is not a very good beer. The smell in particular is very off-putting.

Bottle. Gads... a pinkish note to the pour seems a little off, especially with all of the head. Aromas are of dried cranberries and malt. Flavor has both a sweetness and a tart cranberry tone to it, which makes it unique, but not that great in my opinion. Fruitiness comes off as a bit artificial.

Hazy off-red in color with not much head but white lacing. Sweet and dry cranberry aroma. Hint of cranberry and sugar/sweetness with a malty aftertaste.

Pours a rose-orange with about half a finger of head. Odor of raspberries, bananas, and cranberries. Less fruity than other lambics- not overbearing fruit, nor tart, a hint of cranberries with an aftertaste of honey. It’s alright, though a little bland.

Decent fruit beer. Reddish pour. Small white head. Basically a wheat beer with a little cranberry for good measure.

Pours a slightly hazy orange gold with a thin head. Has an aroma of clove, banana, and some tart cranberries. It actually smells pretty good! Wow, nevermind. This tastes pretty bad. Its got a watered down cranberry juice flavor with a mild clove finish. Kind of thin. At least it smells good.

Terrible beer. The taste is dominated by cranberries. Boring, one sided flavor. Awful finish with some light bitterness. Undrinkable.
