Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Courtesy of Quake1028. Pours a clear bright copper with lasting off white foam ring. The aroma starts off with some musty funk followed by mild notes of cranberry and fruity tartness. It tastes just like the aroma if not a bit fruitier. It starts with a hit of mustiness mixed with cranberry juice. Interesting combination. Midway a sugary sweetness takes hold for a moment or two before both the mild funk and cranberries return to bring the experience to a close.

(bottle BBMar): Very pale golden color, foamy white head, good lacing. Very cranberry, sour aroma. Almost like sour cherries. Mild sweet cranberry taste. Not malty or hoppy, but bready. Not very fizzy.

From the holiday sampler. Pours a dark gold red color with a decent white head. No lace is indicative of the lack of body. Faint and subtle is the name here. Aroma is fruit and wheat. The fruit flavor comes through a little bit more and is distinctly cranberry with a back bite of some sour yeast. Decent fruit beer. Definitely not sour enough to make it into the lambic category.

Pours a tawny golden color into the flute glass. A quick small head gave way quickly as the carbonation bubbled from the bottom of the glass. The scent was very fruity with hints of berries and malt. A decent refreshing beer, not as bad as I had thought, but still...not that good.

Slight cranberry and lots of yeast in the aroma. Cloudy light amber color with a small white head. Smokey yeast beginning to this one with a tangy cranberry finish. Light notes of wood also evident.

incredible thick head maintained by thousands of active tiny bubbles. faint cranberry and cherry on the nose, mostly mildewy yeast. the shade of pink with all those bubbles looks like a mimosa. wow. fruit forward like a wine cooler, sticky sweet. very light bodied, lifted still from the carbonation. i cant rightly finish this

Bottle. Wheat and cranberry smell. Clear reddish-orange color. Almost no head. Tastes like cranberry juice without the bitter aftertaste. Also has hints of wheat and banana. Finishes sour.

I did not enjoy this fruit beer, not sure why it was labeled a Lambic as it really didn’t resemble one in the classic sense. It did, however, taste an awful lot like cranberries, too bad I don’t’ like cranberries all that much. Sour tasting, very thin, not likely to try again.
