buckybeer (666), Eau Claire, Wisconsin, USA Nov 19, 2007 Pours medium amber with a large head. Aroma is ripened cranberry, light tartness. Flavor is funky ripe fruits, tart cranberry, malt. Pretty tasty. Strykzone (1458), Wood River, Illinois, USA Nov 18, 2007 A nice looking pour with a big active head. Aroma is sweet cranberry. Flavor is much better than I expected. The cranberry stands out nicely and blends well with the wheat. An interesting cranberry aftertaste remains. The fruit pretty much covers the wheat flavors but they are there. This is not really a lambic but it is a surprisingly nice fruit/wheat beer. GreatLibations (1440), Last Supper, Arizona, USA Nov 17, 2007 Pours amber w/ a pink hue. A tall froth emerges as it’s poured and it stays there like a stubborn muledeer. Good sticky lacework. Aromas are tart and fruity. Medium nectar and almost flat. Very fruity w/ defined berries w/ a mild tartness. The finsh lingers a bit and stays fuity. It’s water and weak. jeg (115), Austin, Texas, USA Nov 17, 2007 Reddish color, not too sweet (unlike some lambics), and and like the amount of cranberries - nough to taste without overwhelming. Not a true lambic, and the fall cranberry flavor didn’t really mesh as well with the summery wheaty texture and background. The total value is less than the sum of the individual parts here. fredjaz (108), Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA Nov 15, 2007 Got this beer in a Sam Adams Winter mix pack. Started well with its inviting fruit bouquet aroma and attractive ruby red pour but it ended there. This tastes aweful! And that aftertaste! Beer should only taste like this on the way back out. This beer should be measured in Courics. Unfortunately the sampler pack contains another one. If you buy the Winter pack give the Crapberry to someone you dont like and drink the rest biznizness (930), Mooresville, North Carolina, USA Nov 15, 2007 This is a lambic? Um, no. It even says on the bottle, "wheat beer with cranberry and other natural flavors." It’s drinkable, and not as tart as you would expect, but not a lambic. docsteigs (139), USA Nov 15, 2007 Different; not too bad not too good; tastes pretty nice in the front; clean and crisp with acidic nature; finish is odd (for lack of a better description); not sure whether its the cranberries, maple syrup, or yeast strain used, but just a little off at the end. AMN (127), Dublin, Pennsylvania, USA Nov 15, 2007 Not bad for a fruit beer, although if I tasted it blind I’m not sure if I could identify it as a beer. Fans of fruit beers will like it. Goes well with breakfast.
