Bcoble003 (100), Dalton, Ohio, USA Nov 10, 2007 nice light copper color strong smell of cranberries tastes of almost koolaid very sweet but not to strong that it would make one sick. iowaherkeye (1832), Bakersfield, California, USA Nov 10, 2007 12oz bottle, notched Best Before March (’08). Clear orange amber with a 1 1/2 finger creamy off-white head, good retention. Definitely some fruit in there, but I can’t say that it’d be cranberries. There is also burnt plastic, light buttery notes, and some dirty wheat that isn’t quite to the point of rotting. Flavor is buttery and fruity--seems a little more discernible as cranberries, but not quite. Paper is also present with a SA Cherry Wheat finish (plus the almost rotting wheat). This is a fairly sweet beer--I’m thankful for the fake fruity tartness to cut it. Burps burnt plastic. Medium body with moderate carbonation. More like Crapberry Lambic. heemer77 (4294), Savannah, Missouri, USA Nov 7, 2007 Light almost copper type body with a slighlty peach colored head. The aroma is very weak with the cranberries and burning candles. The taste is strange artificial sweetner with some hints of watered down cranberry juice. There is also a note of nutmeg along with some vomit. I noticed the vomit character in various tastings of their cherry wheat beer. Wow, this is pretty bad. emobassfoo (178), Webster, New York, USA Nov 6, 2007 Notes: Caramel color with yellow highlights, but no head at all. Smells of possibly cranberry extracts, but more like sparkling wine. One dimensional. Sweet cranberry taste with almost Belgian-yeast characteristics that show up. Heavily carbonated with a syrupy feel throughout. Definitely different, but don’t think I could drink more than half of one... MaliMisho (208), East Meadow, New York, USA Nov 5, 2007 I really enjoy Sam Adams fruit beers, this beer like the name implies tastes like cranberries. DaMenace123 (250), Houston, Texas, USA Nov 5, 2007 Got this in a sam adams sampler. Aroma exposes the sweatness. But at first it isn’t apparent in the taste. Strange yeast and sour taste come first, then sticky sweetness in the back of your mouth towards the end. Optigon (561), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Nov 3, 2007 Aroma is somewhat sweet with some qualities of caramel and maple syrup. Somewhat yeasty. Color is tan with a white, fine head. Flavor is mildly tart with a weirdly plastic, sweet flavor. Mouth flavor isn’t anything great. Pretty disappointing. Gregis (1132), Shawnee, Kansas, USA Nov 2, 2007 Pours a clear lightly reddish gold with a loose, frothy, pinkish beige head that laces nicely. Lightly funky and fruity on the nose with little more going on here. Light-bodied and creamy with a quick, tart & dry finish. Sweet, tart cranberry front with notes of spice and some funky yeast. A decent beer, but it’s not nearly as good as the true fruited lambics that I’ve tried.
