Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

sampled this beer at the brewery in boston and it tasted better than i had remembered. Nice cranberry notes together with water lambic taste is, tastes a little like soda but also had a nice beer bitterness.

Sweet, tart, sour, tasted more like a wine than a beer. I could not finish this, it was way to sweet.

Pours an amber color with a white head. Aroma is of cranberriers, sweet malts, and caramel. Flavor was absolutely terrible. Slightly tart and sour but the cranberry was not very appealing. I could not finish this beer. I will never again buy a bottle of this.

pours a copper color with decent carbination and a tart cranberry smell. taste is in line with the smell. maybe this is from last year as i cant imagine this beer getting better with time. it is quite bad and i cant even finish the beer. maybe a skunked bottle but real bad.

Pours out a light amber color with a thin white head. Aroma is tart cranberries, a light sweetness and perhaps a touch of woody smell as well. Fairly misleading on the title as with the first sip I knew this was not true lambic. Cranberry and apple flavors are very present with little to no tart or sour flavors of classic lambic. However, in fairness the beer was fairly tasty, especially on this hot day. I’m picking up on light maple syrup flavors in the finish. This is an OK beer, not something I would ever want a six pack of but one every couple of years or so just to enjoy some new flavors wouldn’t be bad at all.

I was pleasantly surprised by this one. Wisconsin makes over 50% of the nation’s cranberry crop, and in the fall and winter there’s nothing better than a cranberry (something)’s combination of sweet and sour. The beer follows that -- there are distinct sweet notes almost offset by the sourness. Light body and high carbonation. Tasty!

I’m a beer newbie. I don’t even know what a lambic is. I was given this at a football tailgate. It looked nice (although I don’t know if I want a beer looking that much like fruit juice), smelled nice, but was just horrible. One of the 3 beers I’ve had in my life that I just couldn’t finish. The cranberry was just way too strong and I’m not fond of whatever that aftertaste was either. Thinking about this one almost makes me sick

Pours a somewhat hazy red with a cranberry aroma. Taste is largely straightforward with a slight cranberry aftertaste. Just OK, and by far the worst Sam Adams winter seasonal.
