Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Reddish color. Smell of malt, rust, copper, zinc, pie crust and cranberry juice. Taste is not that pleasant. Taste of malt, tart cranberries, copper wheat and sugary. Very flat.

Had this after the Holliday Porter. The Porter put this to shame. Not a very good beer. You can taste the cranberries, so maybe that was the problem. Not much alcohol taste or anything else. Maybe it’s just not my style of beer. It was just a little too sweet.

What a refreshing beer! Being the hophead that i am, this was quenching, light, [if sweet] beer. Sam Adams is great to provide their sampler packs, i then get to sample beers, i might not ever try. Pours not the color i expected [pinkish] but rather amber... Very white head, if thinnish, and no lace. Some fruitish cranberry aroma. Nice light crisp taste, great with dinner. I got this in a Sam Adams Winter Classics sampler pack. Not undrinkable as some people say, but not that good. It tastes kind of like a normal American pilsner with some cranberry flavor. I drank it after a long day at work, which might account for my not despising it like some do. I would say that this makes a decent, if expensive, lawnmower beer, but not much else. If you get the Winter Classics sampler pack, drink one of them and then give the other one away.

not much to say here that hasn’t already been said. some sourness which is surprising, the rest is all cranberry fruit beer. definitely nothing lambic or farmhouse about it. very sweet. surprisingly thin finish.

Surprisingly drinkable but not really as full flavoured as you’d expect of a lambic beer. I know I could sell loads of this stuff, mainly to women who don’t usually drink beer. Refreshing (but cranberry drinks usually are) and I would probably go back for seconds.
