Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Bottle. I was rather excited when I cracked this one open but I couldn’t finish it, awful stuff. Red colour. Odd fruity aroma. Strange sweet flavour, definitely not drinkable. Spare the cranberries for the turkey...

The cranberries are very noticable everywhere in this beer, and that is a good thing. The main taste is of course of cranberries but also of a light wheat flavor that finishes quite plesently, although a little tark. But a very good beer, for lovers of fruit, and one that everybody should try at least once.

It poured a clear gold with a small white head. There was a definite, tart fruit flavor, the first imppression, that substituted nicely for the bittering hops. The mouthfeel was good and it left a pleasantly sweet aftertaste. Most of the characteristics of a Wheat with a little something extra.

I like cranberries, but am not a big wheat beer fan. Since the wheat seems to be more pronounced in this beer, I would rather drink the Cherry Wheat than this. Having said all that, I’d drink it again, as it was not awful; it’s just not my first choice for a beer.

Pours a clear light red color with a bit of white head. Good lacing. Aroma is sweet and reminds me of a cranberry soda. Beer is sweet but not syrupy with a bit of tart cranberry coming out. Obviously not a lambic at all but really not that bad.

Pours a very light red with an OK head. Aroma strong with crabnerries. Taste is of, well, cranberries. I know everyone else seems to hate this beer but for some reason I like it & I typically don’t like beers with a heavy fruit taste.

First off, I hate fruit beers and therefore my submission should be almost entirely ignored as a have a huge bias from the get-go. light amber/pinkish color, super fizzy (like a cider). aroma is down-right awful! flavor makes up for...nothing...it too is awful! I like nothing about this beer and cannot believe that as I speak it has an 18 percentile rating. While buds/coors/mgd’s are crap, I would take one of those any day over this smelly nonsense. i’m getting a headache as wee speak. In summary: do I recommend this beer? I’d rather rub my....then lick my palm...

Clear amber body with bubbly off-white head. Aroma of cranberries and citrus. Taste is sweet, tart cranberry and sour lemon. Interesting but seems unbalanced.
