Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Not sure if I actually drank this, or the new beer by the makers of Frankenberry. No lambic characteristics to speak of, just starwberry flavored cereal, marshmellows and... alcohol. MMM-mmm. Drink up! Just a berry big mess, and not even a shitty plastic toy in the bottom to cheer me up. Can’t wait to try next year’s Sam Adams Count Bockula and Fruity Yummy Dunkelweizen. Who’s the big asshole who brought this to a tasting ? Oh yeah, me.

Bottled. Not bad but a very odd hybrid between a fruit beer and a lambic that does not quite succeed on either account. Very light body and flavouring. More sweet than anything else with just a hint of cranberry tartness. Okay.

Bottle. I feel like I’m one of the few people who actually enjoys this one. It’s one of the better fruit beers I’ve had. The deep red color lends itself well to its name, aroma is a little dry though. The cranberry flavor is very nice and really helps to create a festive holiday atmosphere.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy reddish light brown with a small, off-white head. Aroma is malty and fruity. Flavor is slightly sweet and slightly cranberry. I’d pass on this one.

Bottle. Very tart and has a lot of cranberries in the flavor. Pour is a strawberry red with no head. Medium body. Not very good.

Beautiful smell, lovely color, rancid taste. I don’t think they even used cranberries in this, instead it is like some generic fruit flavor you might find in a donut. Luckily, that flavor does not last long.
