Commercial Description:
Samuel Adams® Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Eh this beer went down a little weird for me. It did taste like cranberry, but something about it just seemed off. It wasn’t bad, but definitely not one of the better Samuel Adams. It felt like I was drinking cranberry flavored syrup.

Overall Impression: I haven’t had this Sam offering in a while, but I remember I was not in any kind of hurry to get it again (score is from the old rating (no notes))

Very nice frothy head; great lace; the color is light amber with a slight red tinge. The aroma reminds me of tart cherries (not cranberries). The smell is surprising light, mostly a dry malt. I had expected a more robust aroma. Tart flavors up front. The flavor of wheat is powerful. Again, I taste sour cherries. Not a true lambic, but pleasant enough--probably not one I’d re-purchase. Long sour aftertaste.

(12oz bottle) Pours a reddish-tan body with a small off-white head. Aroma of wheat and artificial fruit (candish). Flavor of syrup, fruit flavoring, light clove, and wheat.

I just didn’t care for this at all. No taste whatsoever except for this acidic taste of cranberries. I will NEVER try this beer again.

From a 12oz. Smells OK.. could be alright.. then, yikes. Cranberry acidity and "beer flavour" assail the mouth. Couldn’t drink the whole thing. Do not want, that’s for sure. I’m a Sam supporter more often than not but this goes up with Cherry Wheat as the worst beer they make.

Hands down a complete utter mocking of real beer to the beer world. A wheat lambic? Closest thing this goes to is somewhere in the cranberry pop vein. Honestly a bit astonished Jim would do such a thing.
