harmfuldrunk (288), New Jersey, USA Nov 1, 2006 overwelmingly more wheat than cranberry aroma, nice white head, syrupy cran/apple juice, in no way is it a lambic, not even a very good fruit beer or whatever. weird i think i liked this last year shendrix (478), Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA Oct 31, 2006 Well. It’s drinkable. Cranberry in the nose. Shocker that, eh? Tastes strongly of cranberry juice--real stuff, not the regurgitated cough syrup that sweetens Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat crap. Still, lapsing into the trap that draws in so many macrobrews, Sam went a bit too sweet on this one, with some genious deciding to put in maple syrup of all stupid things. Drinkable--but nothing I would at all reccomend. CelticBrew (676), The Crystal Coast, North Carolina, USA Oct 30, 2006 Wow, what a disappointment. Poured out a light reddish color. Minimal head. Aroma of cranberries, vanilla and yeast. The taste was repugnant, almost as if stale. Very tart at the end. For my first lambic beer ever, if left a bad impression of such ales/brews. redlem (1155), Illinois, USA Oct 27, 2006 Updated: Oct 29, 2006what an odd beer. pours with a very faint reddish tinge to beer and a lasting creamy head. aroma of yes belgian yeast, but it seems like it is artificial somehow. cranberries not really noticable in aroma or taste. more of a lager mouthfeel, lacks any tartness associated with a lambic. actually finishes kind of sweet.
this gets worse the more I try. Very bad and drinkable. StephenWade (28), Hoover, Alabama, USA Oct 25, 2006 Bottle. Appearance: Medium amber, mostly translucent. White head. Smell: a lot like cranberry juice. Taste: Well, nothing says fall like the promise of turkey and dressing with cranberry sauce. This beer gives me that feeling. That being said, though, this beer is a little odd, and just doesn’t knock me off of my feet. Still, a solid, enjoyable drink. motelpogo (4394), Plzen, Czech Republic Oct 23, 2006 bottled, at brewtopia beerfest. pretty strange-o. pale, amber with a faint head. detergent aroma but then some interesting brandy butter flavours. a bit on the sweet side but an original flavour at least tennisjoel (931), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Oct 18, 2006 Bubbly copper body with a two finger head. Vegetal aroma...faint cranberry. Definitely can taste the cranberry flavor. Seems as though they took a bland american wheat and dumped some juice in it. It’s not bad, maybe a little different than what I expected. I am not very familiar with the lambic style but by what others have said I would agree that this isn’t a lambic. Maybe they should just take that out of the title since it is designated as a fruit beer anyway. Trooper11 (464), Suffolk, Virginia, USA Oct 17, 2006 Amber brew, small foamy head, definite cranberry/cherry aroma. Blaa, fizzy, sour unsweetened cranberry flavor. Smooth, semi-creamy very fruity.
