Fruity acidity is the main thrust of the flavor but there’s enough backing sweetness to keep it from being dry or astringent. I’m knocking it down on visual b/c it’s a bit cloudy and there’s no head. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Feb 22, 2004 Surprisingly dark color (and less red) than I expected--orange/copper/brown mush--clearly not your ordinary beer combination. The aroma has cranberry of course but also much maple, like a honey-maple granola baking in the oven. The flavor produces the cranberries in abundance, though nowhere as sour as I would have hoped, and much more like a cranberry sauce than juice. Extremely drinkable, and my wife found it very compelling. A bit of sweetness is appropriate and not at all unwelcome. Yet, this is "lambic" the way Americans make lambic, suggestive more of a standard beer with flavoring than a Belgian style traditional production. uhorpheus (215), houston, Texas, USA

Cranberry is a little wierd. I like the tart lambic, but they should lose the cranberry stuff. Lizabeth (360), east falmouth, Massachusetts, USA
| 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 9, 2003 Dark orange. Smell is cranberry, maple syrup and bubblegum. Taste is strongly cranberry, though the basic wheat taste of the beer lurks in the background. No discernable malt or hop flavors. Definitely not a true lambic, but drinkable and interesting JonR888710 (999), Cochabamba, Bolivia

I had just eaten a bananna before I drank this and the agreeable flavors may have made this beer taste better for me. Pleasing ruby red color, strong smells of wheat and cranberries of course. Above average carbonation. The sweet and acidic taste did it for me. I really enjoyed this one. BREWMUSKCLES (1094), New Jersey, USA
