Commercial Description:
Samuel AdamsŪ Cranberry Lambic is a fruit beer that draws its flavor not just from the cranberries it is brewed with, but also from the unique fermentation character imparted by the rare wild yeast strain. The result is a flavor rich in fruitiness and reminiscent of cranberries and bananas, cloves and nutmeg. The yeast fermentation also will create a slight sourness on the sides of the palate, a signature of the original Lambic style which, with the subtle cereal note from the wheat malt, remind its drinker that, as fruity a beer as this is, it is still a beer.

Cranberry juice with alcohol and a sour aftertaste, any questions?

355 ml bottle. Amber body with a small off-white head. Aroma of artificial fruit. Flavor is sweet with a rather weak fruit flavor and not particular sour either. A bit weird.

Not a good representation of what a Lambic is. It’s not sour or funky enough. Lousy Cranberry flavor too. I can finish this but just barely - it’s on the very bottom rung of drinkability.

With apologies to those who see fruit in beer as a sacrilege and those with a particular hatred for this one. I get two of these every year from a friend’s winter variety pack and they are tolerable enough..

I’ve enjoyed lambics but this one is terrible. I have yet to find anyone that will finish a bottle. Too much like cough syrup. Poured mine out.

Bottle...Awful. I love usually enjoy fruity lambics. This is the first time I’ve tried a lambic that wasn’t brewed in Belgium. I will stick to the Belgians from now on.
