Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

Bloody Velvet Jones! What a beer. Here I sit in Tennessee, having to shop for beer at Food Lion due to bizarre wet laws, and I stumble across a true gem. The aroma is a sirensong of vanilla, hops and pitchblack malt. I’m stuck in a motel with a plastic Krystal cup, so I have to evaluate the appearance from the cool label and the khaki head, but I assume it’s black as coal. The flavor is a bit peppery/spicey, coffee and cream, charred malt with a ruthlessly balanced hop/roast charge. The palate is substantial, but not perfect -- a little clinging and tart. This isn’t the grail, but Boston Beer again demonstrates that they’re no dunces at brewing.

Smeels like a hershey’s chocolate bar, and tastes wonderful. A great mix of chocolate hops and barley. Has a very European taste to it. Excellent beer.

Not bad creamy chocolate-coffee taste, though pretty sweet as for the style.

I have to say I was delighted to try this one...it has a nice smooth creamy feel in your mouth and which has a quick marshmellowy nuget taste that finishes with a nutty, chocolatey roasted flavor...I think its a better beer than most give it credit for. I will keep this in my freezer year round!

Not as rough as other stouts, kind of espresso taste. A little thick, but that should be expected. Not my favorite sam adams, but not terrible by any stretch.

Decent easy to find stout. Goes great with cashews!
