Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

I like the coffee aftertaste with the creaminess. It seems to settle heavy but that’s not a reason to pass this up. This is a fine stout for those looking for their first one to try. ;)

This has to be one of my favorite icy cold one’s. Thick frothy head that you can stand a spoon up in. A bit coffee like, yes. Sweet roasted, yes. Creamy rich and hard to beat!

OK stout. Tastes better than it smells.

Glowing dark chestnut. Foamy tan head. Moderately heavy carbonation. Chocolate malt, barley, light caramel and burnt sugar aroma. Medium body, loaded with tangy malts. Notes of molasses, burnt caramel, chocolate and barley. Anise and espresso aftertaste. Faint creamy sweetness, although this brew is relatively dry for a sweet stout. Bitter undertow of malts is tasty. Finishes slightly less bitter. A true quaffing stout.

A very good stout, not quite smooth enough or thick enough to be a great stout, but overall quite good.

Not my favorite stout, but it does have a creamy head and is fairly smooth.

UPDATED: JAN 18, 2004 Bottled. Good stout appearance, with creamy thick head; aroma nice bittersweet coffee/chocolate, though rather weak. Flavor careens between sweet and milky, and dark roastiness; good but without much punch (little hop presence). Body average, finish very smooth. Certainly better than the Spring Ale I just had, but Mr. Adams the Brewer, Patriot has certainly lost his status as one of America's best that he had when I was first getting into beer.

Very good. A touch of coffee and a touch of chocolate. Not enough stout.

Great aroma, and a prevalent chocolate/toasted malt flavor. I like the choice of hops in this Adams brew - more hops presence with a soft finish.
