Pours a dark brown to black color with a one finger tan head that settles quickly and heavily laces the glass. Aroma is sweet and malty with notes of chocolate, heavy cream, some hints of chocolate, roasted malts, slight spice. Flavor is malty and sweet with light roasted notes, some honey and caramel, some candy sugar, hints of burnt toast and dark chocolate. Generally medium body with a creamy sweet finish. Tasted a little off, but I can see where it would be good in a better year. Aroma of coffee and butter toffee, with subtle chocolate flavors and an overall light and refreshing feeling. Aroma is light chocolate and coffee with not much else. Flavor is chocolate sweetness up front with a nice coffee grounds bitterness with lots of roastedness to finish the beer off.
