Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

APPEARANCE – perfect midnight color. Creamy stout head color. NOSE - easy coffee notes, just a touch of sweetness. FLAVOR – this is where this beer disappoints! Surprisingly untasty. NOTES – great beer right up to the first sip.

Pretty good imitation of Guinness. Not enough carbonation, though, and missing the slight sweetness that makes Guinness great.

12 ounce bottle. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is caramel malt, chocolate, coffee, and some lactose. Somewhat thin. Still, very well made and tasty.

Novice Craft Beerer here... Was hesitant for the darkness, but went for it anyway and was very glad that I did! Likes the color, great chocolaty taste, and love the smell. Nice feeling to my palate as well. Loving this beer!

12 oz. bottle from Cash Wise in Watford. Appearance: finger brown head, opaque deep brown, good lacing, head retention is average. Aroma: chocolate, light caramel, roast grain, earthy malt. Palate: medium-full body, average carbonation, creamy texture, light dry bitter finish. Taste: sweet milk chocolate and caramel into roast grain and finish is light astringency and bitterness. Overall, smooth, drinkable, very good roast grain flavor without the astringency being overpowering.

"(sidebar) i tried this beer when i was a 17 year old drinker of 40’s...and hated it. Fast forward 5,10,15 years and i realize my palate was a joke back then. this is a solid effort, full bodied (but too tight on the carbonation for the style) and quite tasty. "

12oz bottle. Pours pitch black with a thick tan head. Aroma of roasted malts with hints of chocolate and caramel. Taste of sweet creamy milk chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, and a slight coffee flavor. Overall one of the best stouts I have had.

poured from a bottle. I had high hopes for a cream Stout by SA, and I wasn’t disappointed. Great dark brown color with a large head that dissipated a little too quickly. Expectedly good lacing. Aroma of chocolate and coffee and malt. Smooth going down. If it had about 4% higher ABV, it would be a perfect beer.
