COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is roasty, dark chocolate and caramel. Taste is more of the same plus hints of dark fruit and vanilla. Smooth velvety mouthfeel. Very enjoyable but nothing mind-blowing.

12 oz bottle with a BB date of 7-2015; the ABV is listed as 4.9%. Pours black with a large, creamy and frothy tan head. Good sticky lacing gets left on the glass. Flavor: very well balanced, including the bitter-sweet dimension. Slightly sweet up front with plenty of dark roasted malts and only hints of smoke. Appealing aroma with a hint of sweet chocolate.

Bottle camping in France. Black pour, thin beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, milk chocolate, caramel, fresh bread and some root beer. Flavor is quite sweet, creamy, roasty, a hint of bitterness and very smooth. Decent body, well drinkable.

Looks black at first, but holding it up to a light reveals some nice deep purple-browns. Smell is of sweet cocoa, with some caramel and nice bitter coffee. The taste follows, with some bitter coffee and rye bread with a sweet finish. Solid for the style. A little too much carbonation, but nice and creamy. Easy going down, and not heavy.

The foam is not impressive, but nice tan. The scent is limited to a light malty aroma with traces of chocolate. It have relatively much carbon dioxide, and it is not common for a stout. Characterized little taste of coffee, while the chocolate malt is the dominant factor. All fine finishes of a good feeling wherein Bitter chocolate dominates. The large carbon dioxide is not destructive to this stout, actually I get used to it quickly. Samuel Adams has again surprised me positively.

Poured from 12 oz bottle into pint glass. Appearance: pours a 2"+ tan head that drops slowly with abundant lacing. Color is opaque brown with a red tint. Aroma: strong roasted barley and chocolate. Mouthfeel: medium bodied and creamy with dry, powdery finish. Flavor: chocolate, a bit of coffee, rich roasted barley, caramel with some earthy hops in the background. Overall: outstanding, definitely a great beer within the style.

Bottle. Pours a black beer with a nice, dense and creamy beige head on top. Aroma is very roasty, chocolate, some coffee and cookie notes as well. Very full and the flavor is also quite roasty bittersweet. A nice hint of sweet caramel in the back finishes this beer off to the fullest. A very nice, low abv, full bodied stout with a good balance and complexity. Nice one!!
