Samuel Adams® Cream Stout is a true cream stout, balancing body and sweetness with the natural spiciness of grain and hand selected English hops. Our Brewers use generous portions of roasted chocolate and caramel malts as well as unroasted barley to impart a fullness of body, a roasty malt character and rich, creamy head. Its dark mahogany color make it almost as easy on the eyes as it is on the palate.

Deep dark chocolate brown with dark mahogany highlights. Tan head with good retention and lacing. Coffee, chocolate, sweet cream (malted milk), nut. Soft chocolate and coffee notes that are slightly bitter give way to a creamy mouth feel with burnt malt nutty flavors. This is followed by a sharp sting from carbonation leading to bitter herbal notes keeping the mouth lively. The mouth feel is wonderful. This a delicious cream stout with a nice sweetness balanced out by bitter notes making it more savory than sweet - excellent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark brown with red around the edges. Khaki head. Aromas of chocolate and malt sweetness. Taste of chocolate toffee and a little smokiness. Thin mouth feel but very nice beer.

Poured from a 12 oz bottle into a tumbler in late 2013. A: Nice head. Motor oil black. S: Fantastic! Chocolate, malt. T: Follows the nose. Delicious! Has coffee flavor too. Tastes like a mocha. O: This was the first cream stout that I had ever tried. It was amazing!

Such a perfect balance for a session able 4.9% stout. Very aromatic with roasted malt, coffee, chocolate. Slight bitterness in back to round out a smooth creamy mouthfeel and taste.

Cor negra de espuma marrom persistente e cremosa. Aroma suave, um pouco citrico e café. Cremoso e pouco seco na boca, alcool levemente perceptível e sabor de malte, refrescante e com ótimo drinkability.

APPEARANCE – perfect midnight color. Creamy stout head color. NOSE - easy coffee notes, just a touch of sweetness. FLAVOR – this is where this beer disappoints! Surprisingly untasty. NOTES – great beer right up to the first sip.

Pretty good imitation of Guinness. Not enough carbonation, though, and missing the slight sweetness that makes Guinness great.

12 ounce bottle. Pours dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, and caramel. Taste is caramel malt, chocolate, coffee, and some lactose. Somewhat thin. Still, very well made and tasty.

Novice Craft Beerer here... Was hesitant for the darkness, but went for it anyway and was very glad that I did! Likes the color, great chocolaty taste, and love the smell. Nice feeling to my palate as well. Loving this beer!
