3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
I usually shit all over this company...but, even a broken clock is right twice a day...and I mean literally twice...the Imperial Pilsner is phenomenal and this Cream Stout is a great session beer, other than these two it’s a shit show...with that said, you have to remember what constitutes a good session brew, and that criteria is different for everybody...for me, I look for great taste, a nice bouquet, and moderate body. This qualifies on all stipulations...however, it is a little thin for a stout...which makes it a good session brew...what a fucking dichotomy. Honestly, if I taste one more good beer from this company I might have to concede a little respect for them.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
bottle @ Party Town / Florence KY --- Clear dark ruby brown color, frothy beige head, cobweb lace. Aroma of roasted malt. Taste is roasted malt that adds light fizz on the swallow, followed by toasted chocolate as it moves to a lightly bittered finish. Outstanding example of a cream stout, full-bodied without being heavy. Highly recommended.

Bottle. Soft, slick and smooth beer. Chocolate, caramel, cream, subtle coffee. Light sweet, light bitter, perfectly balanced. Subtle coffeeish finish, with an aftertaste or even afterthought of roast. Excellent.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz. bottle. BBD Dec 2015. Pours a thick, well retained, beige head, with heavy, almost Belgian lacing, over a clear dark brown (SRM 30) body......nose is roasted malts with cocoa, chocolate, hints of coffee, no esters, light herbal hops......taste is lightly sweet, with mild toffee/caramel notes, heavier cocoa, chocolate, cereal notes, all from the malts becoming bitter from roasted malt and light hop tones.....mouth feel, medium body, no alcohol, creamy texture from carbonation. This is a relatively dry version of a sweet stout with the result that it is a tiny bit astringent and mildly heavy on the cereal side. BJCP 8/3/14/4/7

5 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 20/20
This beer is a real treat. Smooth, creamy and rich. It reminds me a bit of Quiness but with slightly more after taste that has just a hint of bitterness.

12 oz bottle with a BB date of 7-2015; the ABV is listed as 4.9%.
Pours black with a large, creamy and frothy tan head. Good sticky lacing gets left on the glass.
Flavor: very well balanced, including the bitter-sweet dimension. Slightly sweet up front with plenty of dark roasted malts and only hints of smoke.
Appealing aroma with a hint of sweet chocolate.
