trapez (182), Hilleroed, Denmark Aug 8, 2008 Bottle. Aroma dark chocolate and sweet roasted malt. Very dark brown colour - almost black with soft beige creamy head. Bittersweet flavour, slightly smoked with notes of both coffee and chocolate. Nnudd (17), , Denmark Aug 5, 2008 Bottle. pours black with almost no head. aroma of chocolate and roasted malt. not very creamy. Taste is a little boring. Some roast, starts sweet, has a strange bitterness in the end. Some wet cardboard notes. not my favorite
timsilvia32 (166), born in Michigan, North Carolina, USA Aug 4, 2008 Black pour with a solid white lingering head. Roasted malt, coffee in the nose and taste. Pretty earthy, creamy but lacking much complexity. Clean finishing and well balanced though. Pretty good for being mass produced. RedSox2004 (145), Pacific Palisades, California, USA Aug 1, 2008 Poured black with a generous two-finger dense head with very nice lacing. Coffee and unsweetened chocolate were prominent on the nose, with some charcoal and toasted malts in the background. Toasted malts and coffee flavors are clear on the tongue, with the chocolate less apparent than it was on the nose, but definitely there. A hops bitterness lingers to offset the overall sweetness to create a terrific balance. Smooth creamy mouthfeel, lively carbonation, and a well balanced aftertaste. Dedollewaitor (1886), Odense, Denmark Aug 1, 2008 33cl bottle. Pours black with a creamy head on top & lacings. Lots of roasted coffee in both aroma & taste. Chocolate & caramel. Smooth & overall just really pleasant & well made!
