spikester (364), Salem, Oregon, USA May 9, 2008 Pours dark brown with a huge tan head. Lots of lacing.
Nice choco-cofee aroma.
Taste is chocolate, coffee, bitter hops. Hops play second fiddle to the rich dark malts. Slightly sweet overall. A well crafted cream stout. Not overly filling for such a rich brew. Good value too. $1.35 US for the 12 ounce bottle.
plovmand (415), Helsinge, Denmark Jul 23, 2008 Bottle. Pours black with a big beige head. Good lacings. Aroma is roasted malt and coffee. Flavour is very roasted with an espresso kind of touch. It lacks the chocolate imo. kragelund (7), , Denmark does not count Jul 15, 2008 (Bottle) Dark brown with a brown lasting head. Smooth taste, finish dominated buy hop bitterness, a bit one dimensional though TungstenGT (5), Birmingham, Alabama, USA does not count Jul 11, 2008 Bottle. I love the smooth taste of this stout. It is a great after dinner beer with a nice smooth finish. gameface23 (44), Haverhill, Massachusetts, USA Jul 8, 2008 Updated: Jul 11, 2008Bottle. I love this beer. It has been one of my favorites since I started drinking (even before I developed a taste for other stouts). Coffee taste and a smooth finish. Wonderful dessert beer. Snojerk321 (907), San Diego, California, USA Jul 2, 2008 12oz bottle from BevMo. Pours opaque with a thin beige head. Some chocolate and toasted aromas, medium viscosity and a creamy finish.
