COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing innovation is about asking "what if?". What if we gave an IPA a new identity and used some of our favorite West Coast hops, with their grapefruit, piney, & tropical fruit character, in a lager? The result is this boldly hoppy & and flavorful brew with the crisp smoothness of a lager. Cheers!

MALT VARIETIES Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend and Munich malt
HOP VARIETIES Zeus, Simcoe, Citra, Ahtanum, Cascade, Centennial, and Nelson Sauvin hops

Excellent beer! If only it wouldn’t have been kept under fluorescent lights at the store. Poured at a good temperature with a decent, foamy, frothy, thick, long lasting, cream-colored head and plenty of lace. Color is a clear orange amber with loads of bubble trails. Aroma is hop, malt, fruit, bit of skunk. Flavor is like nose, largely loses the skunk, has a great balance between bitter, tang, and sweet right up front and dance around each other in the mouth. Body is spot on; ditto carbonation. Finish is like flavor, has good length and is great drinking! Hope to get more of this.

On tap. Pours a clear orange with a thick white head. Aroma of perfume, light fruits, citrus, pale malts. Flavor of citrus, grapefruit, hop oils, sweet malt. A bit sweet. Hoppy but the palate is too weak. 6/4/7/3/13 (3.3/5)

12 oz bottle from Evergreen Discount. Amber and clear with a white head. Hoppy citrus aroma with tropical fruit and pine. Medium bitterness and light malty sweetness. Crisp and smooth.

Nice hop aroma. Floral. Malty flavor and a slight bitter finish. Taste is on the light side but a solid beer for Sam Adams. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very fruity. The hops impart a very tropical fruit and grapefruit flavor. Not my usual thing, but it is very good. Very interesting beer. Maybe being a lager helps give it such a unique touch.

This bottled brew from a grocery store poured a extremely medium sized head of foamy very light brown colored bubbles that were long lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent light orange brown colored body and a good lacing. The mild aroma was hoppy. The mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering hoppy aftertaste. The nice flavor contained notes of mild citrus crisp and hops. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Caramel malt, herbal aroma; a tiny amount of sulfur-ish aroma. Herbal, citrus, peppery hop flavor--with a light caramel malt flavor that gets sweeter in the finish.

Very tasty. Definitely much hoppier than the typical lager. A little weak for my personal taste but I sure won't turn one down! ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Burnt orange pour, white head. Nose is citrus with a nice malty backbone. Smooth, oily from the hops, crisp bready finish from the lager yeast.
