3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle to pint. Looks good; a transparent orange with thin white lacing. Smells of hops and dough with a bit of pleasant skunkiness. Tastes like it smells with an average mouthfeel and a clean lager finish. A good lager.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This was just OK but better than most lagers of this type. The piney hops aroma was there but seemed like it had to fight through the lager yeast to be noticed. Nice ginger ale color. This had some weight and a foamy head. The taste verified this is still a lager with a grain-heavy taste with the hops adding a bittering finish. Easy to drink but doesn’t come near a good pale ale.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a clear gold with lasting head and nice spotty lacing. Aroma is piney, citrusy, spicy hops with some caramel and bready malts. Flavor is sweet on the tongue, immediately into a moderate amount of bitter pine resin and some grapefruit. A few seconds later, the hops make room for some caramel malt, but the hops make sure to stick around. Later, classic Sam Adams bready aftertaste and faint lingering hop resin. All of this with the clean finish of a lager. This is super drinkable. It’s like a hoppy version of their original lager, but without enough balance to go down very easy. Very impressive!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Nice big hop aroma, pours a clear light amber with a thin white head. Nice big hop bite with a very light body. This is a lager for the hophead, bitter hop notes with citrus being predominant. This is a great sessionable beer, and one I’ll be picking up more of.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Gold pour with a very light haze - fairly effervescent body, with a frothy, well-sustained head - nose is pretty much all hops - a nice mix, but that cascade, citra and centennial come through the most - very American IPA in aroma - no lager character, but pleasant none-the-less - low carbonation - fairly creamy texture - at first, the flavor is much like the nose - all IPA, no lager - citrus, pine, the zesty character of the Nelson and th Zeus - light bodied and fairly crisp - very mild, but rich Munich character late - fairly crisp, almost crackery finish - not what I was expecting, but once I got past that, I found it to be a nice, sessionable hoppy brew.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle into lager glass, best before August 2013. Pours fairly crystal clear golden amber color with a 1 finger dense white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass, with a moderate amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, tangerine, pineapple, floral, light pine, light bread, and floral earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of hop notes; a bit weak on strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange zest, orange rind, tangerine, pineapple, floral, light pine, light bread, and floral earthiness. Fair amount of floral citrus bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of citrus, citrus zest, pineapple, floral, light pine, and floral earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice balance and complexity of hop flavors; with a moderate malt backbone and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth and fairly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with hardly any warming noticed after the finish. Overall this is a very nice hoppy lager. Great balance and complexity of hop flavors; and very smooth to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

Bottle. Pours a clear orange gold with large frothy off white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing along the glass. The aroma is a strong pine and grapefruit. Thin mouthfeel with a strong citrus and light hop with nice crisp finish. Easy to drink, a very good premium lager.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle poured into a Shaker at 40°. Color is a light golden with good carbonation and a small rocky head. Aroma is hoppy with bold grapefruit and pine scents. It has a medium body with a smooth mouth feel. Flavor comes in with citrus and pine then fruity malt and a mild bitterness that gives a bit of spice. After taste is clean with lingering bitterness and citrus. Overall its just like a good IPA, doesn’t seem all that much smooth being a Lager.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Well in some ways this is kinda like SABL that has been hammered with hops. It has the same smooth rounded malt profile of SABL, but a big resiny, catty, spicy hop nose and flavor profile. Fairly enjoyable but the hops were maybe a little on the harsh side, got a bit tiresome to drink after awhile.
