COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing innovation is about asking "what if?". What if we gave an IPA a new identity and used some of our favorite West Coast hops, with their grapefruit, piney, & tropical fruit character, in a lager? The result is this boldly hoppy & and flavorful brew with the crisp smoothness of a lager. Cheers!

MALT VARIETIES Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend and Munich malt
HOP VARIETIES Zeus, Simcoe, Citra, Ahtanum, Cascade, Centennial, and Nelson Sauvin hops

Mild aroma. Clean malt with a little citro hops. Taste is also clean malt with a little hops and a mildly bitter finish. Very easy drinking.

UPDATED: APR 22, 2014 Bottle pour. Amber lager color in glass. Solid, soapy lacing. Nose is grassy hops, dough, and some funk. Blindfolded, I?d say an IPA. Taste is much more pils, but on the bitter end. Good malt profile too. Overall, a decent attempt.

12 fl oz bottle from CJ’s (Potsdam, NY), served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass.

App.: Clear deep amber with a so-so light tan head. Aroma: Lots of Munich/Vienna malt, nice resin/pine and grapefruit hops, a little bubble gum, pretty straight-forward. Palate: Medium body, moderate+ carbonation. Flav.: A bit less malt with a slightly harsh hop character, more herbal/floral, less pine/resin/grapefruit, still has a decent amount of Vienna/Munich malt; dry with pretty good bitterness and a fairly clean, quite hoppy finish.

Decent.

4/16/2014. From bottle. Amber color with a white head. Not sure why this would be listed as an Imperial Pils at 5%. Maybe the IPL is India Pale Lager? In any regard, very tasty, well made, good hoppy flavors.

Sampled on tap at a local bar. A nice crisp ale with a well blended hop palate. Quality but nothing special.

Slightly sweet like they used a bavarian or german yeast and some hop aroma come from this crystal clear pale amber or orange colored ale. A delicious hop flavor ... Cascade i belive... Compliment the light maltieness of this brew. Its not overly sweet. Its crisp and light/medium bodied. Overall its a decent brew.

I really like this beer. And, am somewhat shocked that I really like this beer. Had on tap in Charleston. Pours perfect IPA color- that amber orange that makes the mouth water. Nice head. Nose is citrus and sweet malt. Mouthfeel is decent- medium. Sort of tastes like a really good IPA with a crisp, refreshing finish. Just a different take on a great style. Really well done.

12oz bottle. Never had a IPL before. Not bad at all. Nice floral nose to it and the flavor matches it pretty well.
