COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Brewing innovation is about asking "what if?". What if we gave an IPA a new identity and used some of our favorite West Coast hops, with their grapefruit, piney, & tropical fruit character, in a lager? The result is this boldly hoppy & and flavorful brew with the crisp smoothness of a lager. Cheers!

MALT VARIETIES Samuel Adams two-row pale malt blend and Munich malt
HOP VARIETIES Zeus, Simcoe, Citra, Ahtanum, Cascade, Centennial, and Nelson Sauvin hops

Bottle. Pours a clear golden tinged amber with a large white head. Smells lovely and hoppy right away, but picks up a sweet grainy note up close, and that’s not all that bad. Medium bodied, a little bit of tartness. Grainy with a touch of sweet malt. Nice hop notes and a bit of bitterness on the finish. Pretty easy drinking and would have been quite good about six hours ago when I came in from doing three hours of yard work.

Bottle and served in no-nik glass: Pours a clean straw hue with produced a long lasting fizzy head and left good lace. The aroma does display a nice resiny, fruity and even slightly dank hop note along with some pale malt, hint of corn, and a some light spice. The taste is lightly "lagery" yeast dominated with the hops very much in play however. Solid piny and fruity notes along with some pepper. The mouth feel is brisk and refreshing, a bit "tinny" on the finish. Overall, color me surprised for I liked this much more than I would have guessed. Exceeded expectations. Even more hoppy than a uber fresh Noble Pils was.

From the Spring 2013 sampler pack. A hazy orange amber brew with a bright white head. The nose has some strong hay and grapefruit. There is also a lot of the floral hops. The taste was like hoppy grapefruit with a blance of bread crust. There is a dry hay like finish. This is like a nice really hoppy, but not amped up abv, pils. Well made.

Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours reddish copper with an attractive beige head and a bread and toffee aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a dry slightly bitter finish. Very refreshing.

3/3/13. 12oz bottle from Proof in Tallahassee. Clear copper pour with a nice white head that fades and laces surprisingly well. Rich hop aroma with plenty of citrus and dank with some pine and caramel and doughy almost pilsner malts. Lighter flavor with caramel and doughy malts and a touch of citrus. Not bad.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep amber with an off white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a decent amount of pine hops with some sweet grains and a bit of crisp lager yeast. Flavor starts with crisp lager yeast and grains and has a bit of musty pine coming out in the finish.

blipp (4784) - Newark, New Jersey, USA - MAR 14, 2013
Bottle.Clear amber gold with a big off white head. Clean malty base, with bitter piney and citric hops, followed by a bitter finish. Clean, light, hoppy, refreshing, and cheap (relatively). This beer at this price point is a very awesome thing.
