3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Surprising hop nose. Citrus hop with balance front he malt. Not a very long finish, but solid beer, very reminiscent of ipa

3.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours a light amber with a pillow head decent retention and light carbonation. Aromas of fruity/floral hops(grapefruit, pine) and caramel. Flavors of light pine, spruce, light floral, and just a light caramel backbone. Leaves a slight corn/grain aftertaste. Lightly sweet. Mostly comes through like an ipa slightly above the average especially in the nose. Pleasantly surprised with this one!

12oz bottle. I agree with the description mostly, I found it pretty delightful from start to finish. This is the kind of brewing innovation I like - taking an underrated style and redefining it. Bitter but not unpleasant, very very fresh aroma and taste. Well done!

A - Pours a clear shiny copper/brass color with 1 fingers of off-white head.
S - Big juicy citrus aroma fills the glass, some spicy onion, bready
T - Matches the nose with juicy citrus hops, tangerine, orange, and ruby grapefruit. Dried strawberries, pineapple, in a lager? Grassy/pine hops mix in creating some stickiness. Caramel malts add a very balanced sweetness and round out the hops. Firm bitterness with a long dry finish.
M - Medium body, solid carbonation smooth feel, dry and clean on the finish.
This is a double agent! This lager is bursting with fruit flavor. This could easily pass as an ale. Tons of flavor packed into a sessionable 5.00 ABV. This is one of the most impressive beers I’ve had this year. Hats off to Jim Koch for this awesome beer.

Clear golden color with a thin white head. Aroma is light, slightly grassy hops. Flavor is a little hoppy but finishes clean and effervescent. Very nice lager with a little bite, makes for a pleasant session beer.

Wow, did not expect this from Samuel Adams. Thier beers are accetable for the most part, but this is really good. Coppery pour with nice white hewd. Aroma is nice mixture of lemon and hops. Sweet and bitter are fairly well balanced.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 ounce bottle. Pours a darker gold with a two inch white, pillowy head that lasts. Taste is of citrus, pine, malt, grapefruit, hops. Nice aroma that is similar. Has a nice body that finishes dry and bitter. Easy to drink like a lager, but packs an IPA punch. Refreshing and quite enjoyable. A nice beer that I wouldn’t mind enjoying on a summer camping trip.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours copper with a medium white head. Pine and herb hop aroma with a hint of spice. Pine and citrus hop flavor with some pale malts. A hint of spice in the finish along with some moderate hop bitterness. Much more like a pale ale than a pale lager. A little bland but very drinkable for a pale lager.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. I don’t like many beers by this brewery, but this one is not too shabby. Pours a clear gold with a frothy head. Aroma is citrusy. Flavor is herbal and floral with some citrus notes. You can still taste the "lager". Somewhat full bodied. It’s ok.
