4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is very hoppy. Lots of citrus. Flavor is very clean being a lager. I’m enjoying the hoppy lagers! Flavor is bitter and reflects the citrusy hopping. The palate is clean and finishes dry. Very good beer from the spring thaw pack.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle: pours a light copper color with a big fluffy off white head. Aromas of caramel, pine and resin. Flavor is very nice... resin and pine, but some sweet caramel too. It’s all mellow and super drinkable, though. Awesome stuff. Definitely pushes the innovation factor and gets a few extra points there. Such a simple concept, but done so very well.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Pours copper with a medium white head. Pine and herb hop aroma with a hint of spice. Pine and citrus hop flavor with some pale malts. A hint of spice in the finish along with some moderate hop bitterness. Much more like a pale ale than a pale lager. A little bland but very drinkable for a pale lager.

12oz bottle from spring pack. Pours a crystal clear copper color with average-sized foamy white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma. Crisp and smooth with citrusy and tropical hop flavor. A nice twist on the typical IPA profile.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Presentation: It was poured from a brown 12 ounce bottle into a pint glass. The label lists the ABV 5% and there is a short description of the beer.
Appearance: It has a golden honey body with a creamy white head on top. This head has good retention and makes nice leasing on the glass.
Smell: There are nice citrusy hops with notes of tangerines and grapefruit as well as some tropical fruit.
Taste / Palate: The flavor picks up all the hop notes from the nose and adds them to a nice bread base malt. It has a solid medium body with balanced carbonation and mellow bitter finish.

1.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20
UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 Bottle.
A- Spices, herbs, grains.
A- Copper color, clear liquid, white head.
T- Heavy bitterness, medium malts, subtle fruit tones.
P- Medium body, average texture, average carbonation, long bitter finish.
O- I was hoping this might be a change from an IPA but it seemed that to me there wasn’t much of a difference which was a disappointment for me.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from a bottle with a transparent amber color, plenty of bubbles, and a foamy, long-lasting white head. Has a grapefruit and pine aroma. Taste is the same, with a little bit of hops. Has a crisp medium-body feel with medium carbonation. This is a very nice session beer that doesn’t sit heavy on the stomach and tastes delicious.

3.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Caramel malt, herbal aroma; a tiny amount of sulfur-ish aroma. Herbal, citrus, peppery hop flavor--with a light caramel malt flavor that gets sweeter in the finish.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
12 oz bottle from the Spring Thaw sampler case. Very pleasing with a freshness all about. No bite from hop excess or associated bitterness. A vague creaminess throughout.
